c920 is old but it’s old for a reason lol. it still just works. if you can grab it cheap, it’s honestly fine for zoom + webinars. 1080p, decent autofocus, solid colors. not exciting, but reliable. In case u can’t get ultra hd etc, 2k gives you a bit more sharpness/cropping room for recording guides.

I use the Logitech C920 personally. It isn't anything great to write home about but there is no reason to throw $400 at a camera unless you will be able to find another use for it if you decide streaming isn't for you.

You will need the external camera for the internal tests. This is covered in the school's computer equipment policy. I have a mini-tripod and a Logitech C920 that does just fine.
