I think I wore my fitness watch too often

The first two pics are my watch hand and the third is my non watch hand for reference. Normally I’d expect the watch hand to have gotten lighter under the watch but it got darker and was kinda peeling.

I slapped some Vaseline on it, anyone know why it got darker?

The watch is one of those cheap f

Set specific step/calorie/standing goals per day of the week

Before getting a Bip 5 Core, I was using a cheaper, more basic 'smart' fitness tracker watch. It didn't handle its phone notification duties at all, so the Bip 5 blows it away there - but on a cheaper watch I could set different goals per day of the week. My work is mostly on my feet, all day, and w

Fitness tracker watch... which one will stand up to my lifestyle?

TL:DR - i work in outdoor trades and lift weights and have a toddler at home. I need a fitness tracking watch that will stand up to my dirty life. I've gone through Fitbit Charge2, Fitbit Charge 3, Garmin Vivoactiv 4s and none lasted more than 13 months (just outside warranty, of course). I have a G

Fitness tracker watches

Does anyone have recommendations for fitness watches that will last? I’ve been a Fitbit user for the last 5 or so years. I’m currently on my 3rd one as something always goes wrong with the display or charging just outside of the warranty period.

Misfit Shine 2 Bands

I recently found my Misfit Shine 2 that I have been searching for approximately a year or two. I went to put fresh batteries in it and download the app, and found out I can no longer use it due to the app, etc. being discontinued! So much money was put into the Misfit itself and all the different w

HRM rant

Just finished a small road ride, was all excited because I picked up a new Garmin HRM dual chest strap. And it worked for ten seconds then stopped reading my heart beat, I took it apart, checked the battery, restarted my brand new pixel7 and it picked it up right away but no heart beat.(in Strava)

Is the Pico fitness activity calorie count way off?

I do workouts in VR. A Lot. So much actually that I am in the top 50 of the global ranking most of the time, currently its rank 39. The greatest part of that activity is in Les Mills body Combat VR, and herein lies the problem. The calorie count calculated in Les Mills ist moure than double the one

My Google Pixel Watch keeps separating, and I've tried super glueing it back together, but I exercise outside and my sweat and heat continue to loosen the glue. What is a good fitness tracker watch that will help avoid this problem?

I've already had the watch replaced once, but these watches are known to separate,(of course I didn't know this until after I had purchased it). It's not under warranty anymore, so looking for a change, thank you!

Arbitrary logging and syncing of activities. Is GoogleFit even worth it?

Judging by the posts in this sub, I am not the only one having issues with GoogleFit. I'll add my issue to the pile as perhaps someone has an answer or others can relate

I have a cheap fitness tracker watch off amazon. It uses an app called VeryFit to track its data. I am (sort of) able to sync it

Fat man weight loss through cardio

I'm 47 y/o and weigh about 288 lbs. I'm working with a doctor with medication/diet management/exercise.

I have bad ankles/knees in that I can sprain my ankle walking on flat ground or fall by veering left or right. As such, I do my daily cardio on an elliptical.

Recently (a month), I've been ai
