Router recommendation that meets these criteria

The hardware might be a tad underpowered (but also might not) however the available features are impressive for an amazing price point imo. Very happy with the “Linksys E8450 (UBI)” if you can still get them (my 2 cents)

OpenWrt 24.10.5 - Service Release - 19. December 2025

Luci attended sysupgrade is incredibly seamless and quick. I opened Luci, clicked upgrade, and it was complete before my youtube tab even paused to buffer. Linksys E8450 with no issues.

Best cheap router to use while ISP router is in bridge mode?

I have tried to find this in Indian market a lot. But it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find one. I don’t think its gonna be cheap. If thinking of most ideal way, then have separate router (nanoPi device or other similar device) + a WiFi AP. This will be atleast be 8-10k. Since you are looking

Online gaming with T-Mobile home internet is horrible..

The Belkin RT3200 is the same device as the Linksys e8450 but usually found for less (I paid $30 for mine), it's one of my preferred openwrt devices.

Updating from 22.03 to 24.10 on Linksys E8450. How? Please help

There was a change in the flash layout, so the old UBI version needed to be upgraded to the new UBI version, which is done by the installer as described in the wiki and github. There might be some chance to get it working following these instructions: https://forum.openwrt.org/t/belkin-rt3200-linksy

24.10 is great! Been pretty rock solid for a few days now. The settings can be preserved by restoring from a backup but please please PLEASE follow the In case the configuration wants to be preserved section of the OpenWrt wiki for this router otherwise all future firmware flashes will fail. If you

3 months ago I shared a tutorial video for an unofficial way to use Virtual Desktop with a link cable, which made my setup run perfectly smooth with a classic ISP router. Then update v74 happened and Meta silently removed the ability to reverse-theter to your PC completely. Back to micro-stuttering.

Wifi 6E router I have three Belkin RT3200 / Linksys E8450 routers I might be able to sell to whoever wants them for a decent price. They have OpenWRT installed on them, so if you're not down with that I can't help ya... I use one of them for VD myself and it's been fine, although I haven't done anyt
