Is now a good time to switch over?

HDR works fine on Nvidia as long as you’re using KDE and using the proper proton variables PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 PROTON_ENABLE_HDR=1 ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1 I game on CachyOS with an LG C2 42” at 4k120 with HDR where supported and it is glorious.

Introducing Steam Frame

lol yup it’s a dismal reaction in here. I’ll be getting one, personally. As owner of a 42” LG C2, I’d love to have OLED panels, but I understand that can increase screen door effect, too.

The setup I got going at the minute

The TV is a 48" Inch LG C2. It looks small in the picture because I had to take it from a distance to get the entire setup in the shot, but from my POV where I sit it's fine:)

MacMini Accessories?

Most monitors will come with the (HDMI) cable that you need. Don't bother with a VGA cable, those are obsolete and won't work with the Mini any way. I'll let others chime in on monitor recommendations as I've been using the same one for many years (huuuuge 42" LG C2 OLED). Mouse/keyboard, I highly r

[Discussion] How do you guys balance gaming?

I have PC, PS5 Pro and Switch 2. PC is my primary platform, PS5 is for Sony exclusives only, Switch 2 is a coop machine to play games with my partner. PC is in my office, PS5/Switch 2 in the living room. I generally only buy one copy of the game - on PC (which is linked with my partner’s account too

Anyone using an LG C4 or the likes for a monitor?

It depends on your PC's specs in all honesty. I game on a 65" LG C2 OLED and it looks absolutely jaw-dropping incredible at 4k. I get pretty solid frames too, from 40-60+ depending on where I happen to be in the game. I also have a 5070ti, Ryzen 9800X3D and 32gb of RAM so your mileage will absolutel

Is 4k worth it over 2k for OLED??

I’d never go back to 2K……it’s just a blurry version of 4K….and if you go OLED. Be prepared to never go back to anything else as well. I’ve had 6-7 OLEDS by now. Only sold them to keep upgrading. Now I have two 65” LG C2 with plans to upgrade one to a G5….pc gaming and series x gaming on them is anot

Deliberately Burning In My QD-OLED Monitor - 21 Month Update

10k+ hours on oled monitors are unrealistic but not really if you count the Lg c series owner like cx c1 c2 you can find most of them on r/lgoled. Some of them are using 42 inch/48 inch as desk monitors. Only them would have 10k+ hours as most oled monitors are relative young in the market, the 1440

Down the rabbit hole of OLED

Been happily loving my 42” C2 for the past several years. Best monitor/TV ever. If it died I’d immediately buy whatever the lastest 42” LG OLED was available with equivalent features.
