Is now a good time to switch over?

HDR works fine on Nvidia as long as you’re using KDE and using the proper proton variables PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 PROTON_ENABLE_HDR=1 ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1 I game on CachyOS with an LG C2 42” at 4k120 with HDR where supported and it is glorious.

Bazzite has worse performance and problems then WIN on my PC

Linux doesn't have native HDMI2.1 support, so if you use something like LG C2 42" TV as a monitor which only have 4 HDMI outputs, getting 4K@120Hz with HDR, VRR and at 4:4:4 getting near to impossible. Workaround is by using Cable Matters active DP > HDMI adapter which let you do that, but comes wit

Windows HDR on desktop is basically broken — is there any hope Microsoft will fix it?

LG C2 and RTX4080 here. HDR colors look the same as SDR. Problem is that most monitors just have fake HDR and can’t maintain an accurate EOTF curve. Even the latest creme de la creme XG32UCWMG, which is advertised as a 1300nits monitor cannot do accurate HDR over 450nits, hence why it only has a Ves

6 months with the Panasonic ZT60

I have the lowest end 2012 panasonic s60. It even does a 3:2 pulldown but still handles motion better than my LG C2. I have tons of DVDs and blu rays, and too cheap to get 4k HDR content. Going between the living room with the OLED, and bedroom with the plasma, they both look equally good. The plasm

Crimson Desert

Lg C2 here…it’s a bug that sometimes happens also on Wukong. It’s the game that do not hook up on real Tv specs, you have to disable 120 hz output WHILE in game and suddenly 4k will be back. What nobody is telling you is to close the game then enable 120hz again and restart it. Finally you will expe

December 1, 2025—KB5070311 (OS Builds 26200.7309 and 26100.7309) Preview

I've been annoyed by this stutter for a while now! Just installed this update, but I guess I didn't get the fix based on the gradual rollout. Still easy to reproduce this stutter if I: Toggle HDR (Win+Alt+B) > navigate to Settings app > click System > click Display -- 2 second lag For posterity: I'v

Looking for recommendations for an single external monitor for the MacBook book Neo…

Buy a used 42" LG OLED + Productivity+ Color Accurate+ HDR+ 4K 120HZ+ Quality Control+ Speakers+ Not LCD It's the perfect display for a single monitor setup. And in case you're wondering: my 48" inch C2 has 10K+ hours on it with no sign of burn in. So no, you don't have to worry. Just automatically

Cyberpunk2077 RenoDX tonemapper question

Changing the maximum (peak) brightness within Cyberpunk's HDR settings doesn't do anything when RenoDX is installed. You set the peak brightness within RenoDX itself. I have an LG C2 which is also 800 nits so I can relate. I personally recommend Preem LUT 3 (recommend setting LUT strength within Ren

LG C6H and LG C6 (OLED) have been ordered! Anyone eyeing these?

That depends on your use case. Are you a gamer? On some of the earlier LG C oleds, they would take a hit in their color volume when you enabled Game Optimizer Mode, however the LG C5 is said to fix that. The LG C2 can go up to 120 hz and the LG C5 can go up to 144 hz. If you only play consoles then
