I just got a copy and I'm quite disappointed. I'm coming from an Ultrafine 5k, used in conjunction with an open M4 MBP below. Matte finish - totally fine! Nearly the same as my Nanotexture M4 MBP. LG UltraFine 6K 32U990A: Faulty or normal?
I've just received my UltraFine 6K and am experiencing the same White colour issue you are. The edges/sides of the screen appears green in contrast to the centre of the screen. LG have updated the display and I can control brightness without using the LG Switch app, but no native volume control suck

My Experience with the Kuycon G32P
There's the ASUS ProArt Display 6K PA32QCV and the LG UltraFine evo 32U990AS, but neither of them are really viable alternatives because they only offer a poor matte display, and anyone (like me) who wants full high-gloss quality when sitting in front of a monitor every day will not consider a matte
