Levoit core 600S here. Probably overkill based on my 1,100sf area but here in AZ it's mighty dusty and a dog to boot so I wanted it to more than take care of things. I leave it on 24/7 on high. Works great.

The room size HouseFresh used for testing the Levoit Core 600S-P is 728 cubic feet. With an 8 ft. ceiling, this only 91 square feet. 400 sq. ft. is going to take much longer to clean (if it ever catches up) on low airflow speeds.
