You definitely know more than I do as far as Linux is concerned. I really just need to focus on learning more about the terminal. Our first computer was a 486 running DOS and I could command prompt with the best of them even as a young kid, but I know like 4 things as far as terminal commands. X230

Should I get this?
Get whatever refurbished T/P/X series ThinkPad you can find. Focus on as much CPU and RAM you can afford. I just got a very well specced X395 for 220$. I'll be running Debian on it.
