No, that is not why the original costs much, same as RAM and drives. Product is exactly the same from same, often produced in same factories from same manufacturers. Cost is higher simply to profit from customers who are obliged to go through official accessories for business/legal reasons. And even

Six Lenovo ThinkPad X220 laptops were used in the test, featuring a Core i5-2520M CPU and 8GB of RAM, with a 256GB hard drive So, they used a CPU from 2011 that is missing POPCNT, SSE4.2, and MBEC? This hardly seems like a fair comparison.

The X220T is old enough that I wouldn't trust any original Lenovo battery. It's probably been 10 years since they manufactured one. So I would stick with 3rd party batteries.

Many places I could go here. In no particular order: -40 series. Clunkpad which seemed to only know where you were clicking solely based on it's mood. Not to be confused with the very similar looking but incredibly good Sensel haptic touchpad on the P1 and X1. -X9. No Trackpoint and also has a lot o

Trash article is gonna trash. Looks like they didn’t even use machines that meet the minimum requirements for Windows 11. „In case you're wondering, all six laptops used in the tests were the exact same model: Lenovo ThinkPad X220 equipped with an Intel Core i5-2520M CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB mec

I only did this after people were complaining to verify reports I saw in forums at the time. Gave 90W bricks to people who complained after that and deployed the BIOS updates Lenovo published - of course those needed to be tested beforehand, and they were frequent and followed by the next one in qui

I've been playing around with a Surface Pro that dropped into my lap the last few days, and if the Book is anything like it, either choice you make will probably be a step up, so there's that. Having said that, out of the Lenovo laptops, I've used the x220t, the P40 Yoga and the X380 Yoga for severa

I second this. I bought a genuine original Lenovo battery for my X220 (not tablet version) and it arrived totally uncharged. I charged it fully hoping for the best but only got slightly over an hour out of it. It had obviously been lying in an uncharged state and could barely be revived. Go with a 3

Yeah, the 16:10 displays are great, once you start using them, it's hard going back to the 16:9. Once you get your laptop, you can run the ICC calibration file from here https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-X13-G2-Review-The-perfect-mobile-companion.549308.0.html That will make the display

T430 and x240 are already generation behind x220. Lenovo took over before x200 and than they started to change the keyboards gradually from its IBM design. And that is what Inam referring to. X240 was already very different. And if you compare that with an e14g4 ( I can only speak for p14g4) it’s ag
