Windows on Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme is finally what Arm laptops should have been
I have two WoA laptops - SP11 (X1P) and Lenovo T14s (X1E). I also have a Ryzen 7 T14s from work. The difference could not be more night and day. I hate to do anything on my AMD work laptop, it is so frustrating - bleeding battery when it's supposed to be in sleep, constant fan noise even while doing

Returning my X1 Extreme Gen 4 - Here's why
Hello - I have been running a similar spec X1E (i711800H, RTX 3060, 16GB RAM) that I purchased in 2021, primarily on power desktop style for business use and some travel here and there. I can confirm the build quality is good. I had 1 screen replacement within the first year due to what I understand

I replaced the FHD display in my X1 Extreme 2nd Gen to a 144hz panel
Thanks for the answer :) I am using the thunderbolt 3 workstation dock gen 2. The dock itself is working properly since it does not give any issue with my X390. I already checked the screen refresh and it was set to be 60hz all the time, in fact the screen going off and on was not related to unplugg

Thinkpad T15g - why is cooling so bad?
Most ThinkPads aren't designed by the same people who design the other Lenovo devices, and it's very obvious the one who designs Legions (as well as the E series and the P14s) aren't even playing in the same universe thermally. They don't share parts, realistically they probably should but they don'

What's an Alternative for Gaming Laptops that aren't Gaming Laptops but Can Still Handle Gaming
I tried to do what you are trying to do. I got a ThinkPad X1E Gen 3 thinking it is powerful enough with a GTX-1650Ti Max-Q 4GB to atleast play games that were then a few years old. Not really. It failed to even play Ark. My Lenovo Y50-70 from 2015 played games better than the X1E from 2020. As other

Thinkpad p series for sims 4 buying advice
Gotcha. (sorry for long-replying, this is at least as much a thought process to myself as you lolol) If the ram on the machine is in single channel, upgrading to dual channel may improve things a bit. There's newer Intel and AMD generations with even higher performance graphics, but that's getting i

TPFanControl 0.61 will work on many systems where 0.63 or 0.62 won't work
Awesome - fan control works on Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 5Only issue so far - Lenovo Vantage can't read the temperature anymore (says cold) so it show battery health as critical. Thanks!

What are advantages and disadvantages of a Thinkpad?
ThinkPad X1 Extreme, i9, 64GB RAM, nVidia 3080 vs MacBook Air, M4, 10 core, 32GB RAM Battery life: MacBook by a huge margin. Coding and content creation: ThinkPad. TrackPoint allows moving the cursor without moving your fingers from the keyboard. If you are just going to read then the trackpad is fi

Is the ThinkPad still the best Choice for Laptop for IT?
I was a ThinkPad devotee since the IBM days. Until the pandemic, if you bought one with an NBD warranty, you were pretty much bulletproof. But after an X1 Yoga and X1 Extreme that both shouldn't have needed that warranty in the first place, complete incompetence from Lenovo's distribution, and worth

Thinkpad extreme gen 2 for 285$?
I have a ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen1 (Intel Core i7-8750H, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti) in everyday use (backend development with Docker containers). It still does the job well, but I do not play games and use it mostly with a docking station. The battery life is not impressive and never was.
