Saran Laptop di Bawah 10jt Untuk Kerja
Lenovo Ideapad Slim series bagus, cuman keknya kalo harga segitu dapet layar 14". Buildnya bagus, layar OLED, garansi ADP lenovo terjamin. Sesuaikan aja ama budget. Opsi lain adalah Asus VivoBook, ada banyak versi, cari aja yang sesuai spek, Kalo mau lokal ada merk Axioo di harga segitu dapet yang m

MacBook of the Linux World
I have a ThinkPad X1 Extreme from 2019 with an OLED screen, and I think the burn-in fear is a bit overstated. Mine does have some faint burn-in from a game I'd often have on for hours at a time, but even on a 6+ year old screen it's not that noticeable (pretty much only on a bright white background)

Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen 2 worth it in 2026?
Don’t buy. The X1E Gen2 is horrible. It had a serious keyboard issue and many other drivers issues. I had one and Lenovo replaced it for a Gen3 under warranty (which I still have, and works okay).

Framework 13 Feedback
You are having almost exactly the same experience as me, only I was coming from a frustrated Linux experience on a ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen3, which was supposed to be the best Linux experience (Or I used to think that...) Oh boy was I wrong... I cannot be happier with this laptop... I am using Kubunt

Unless a big company takes over like what google did with android, linux will never be a proper windows replacement
I mean to a certain extent it is really a skill issue. The whole thing is made by volunteers and there are sharp edges expected. I have been using Linux for over 20 years and I still have to Google how to troubleshoot certain things. On bog standard hardware (i.e. Thinkpads) with mainstream distros

X1 Carbon G9 I7 or X1E Gen 2 I7
I think the X1E is a solid choice. More keyboard travel. The CPU is more powerful than the X1C9's, the dGPU is nice if you have use for it and WON'T shorten battery life if you don't use it. It'll accept USB-C charging from chargers offering at least 60/65W up to the (then) USB-C maximum of 100W. No

T480 with X1E touchpad help!
When I mention drivers I am talking about the Lenovo drivers. I've tried the X1E driver from Lenovo (unedited) and it does not work. It just gives basic PS2 mouse functionality.

My laptop is really struggling rn
I have a ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 5 which was released in 2022, so I doubt age would have anything to do with this. But I do see a pattern where the most badly affected machines, such as those with boot problems, seem to all have NVIDIA GPUs. My ThinkPad which has an RTX 3080 Ti wasn’t this badly aff

Can't decide between X1E-78 and X1E-80 laptop for software development
I am using a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7X with the X1E-78 SKU, and it has better performance than most laptops with the X1E-80 SKU. I am a computer science student and have been using it for one month now. If you want to use it for software development, I recommend using Linux through WSL you can't do a dual
