Which laptop would you choose?

There is no such thing as a ThinkPad Ideapad, just Lenovo Ideapad which is not a ThinkPad. Even my Lenovo ThinkPad T440p i5-4200M with 8GB was able to handle Fedora since 2015. Read my recommendation again.

Officially Using Zorin OS for work.

Honestly i am only short on ram rn. Even i was not expecting this pc would be able to do it or not because at max this pc could uograde to only windows 8.1 even after ssd. But i installed tiny 11 (the strip down version of windows 11) it was also good but i wanted to switch to Linux just to explore

Friendly distro for a T430

On Lenovo ThinkPads, at least the Intel based ones, I have never needed to install any drivers when using Fedora. Speaking of RAM consumption (on both Fedora and Debian for my T440p) when using Mate Desktop, it barely uses more than 1GB of RAM, I have used mine with just 8GB of RAM for the past 10 y
