Should have been here 5 years ago when they last could be upgraded to keep up with ultrabooks of the time. Today, they just feel like cheap options for people that sometimes spend more than they're worth upgrading them They were cheap and fast 5-10 years ago when upgraded as CPU performance stagnate

If your T430 has a quad-core CPU, 16GB of RAM, and an SSD I don't see why it wouldn't run Rufus'd Windows 11 well enough. The biggest downside to Rufus'd 11 is that you'll need to install newer versions externally rather than in-band. I believe you should be able to do an inplace upgrade form a USB-

I'm not sure as software isn't my forte but it seems like Lenovo might have simply skimped on the T530 by not giving it a USB lane which is present in a T430 for its WiFi slot.
