Thinkpad T14S Gen 5 - Why aren't there a lot of reviews for this version?
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-T14s-Gen-5-laptop-review-The-premium-T-ThinkPad-with-Intel-Core-Ultra.866472.0.html 165H should be better, but less battery life (comparable to Zen 3 IIRC?). Not sure how it cools the 165H. T14s positioning is horrible in recent gens, especially Intel, a

Why are amd t14 so expensive?
It's more expensive because that's what people want. The battery life is better and generally performance is better to. I got this t14s when it was on sale for 1200$ and I love it. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1861294-REG/lenovo_21m1001xus_14_thinkpad_t14s_gen.html

I really need a laptop 💻! But...
Step 1: Find a part time job. Step 2: Pick up a used Lenovo Thinkpad t14s Gen 1 or Dell Latitude 7420 on eBay for $150-200. They're cheap, well built, and reasonably quick for the price.

Why is the X1 Carbon considered the most premium ThinkPad?
The thing is it doesn't have a better cooling system than the T14s (note the s). The T14s Gen 6 is like 90% of the X1C Gen 13 at 3/4 of the price, with a lot more CPU and screen options too. I appreciate the engineering behind the X1C idea but a lot of those innovations are trickling down to lesser

AMA: Thinkpad T14 Gen. 6 (AMD) vs. MacBook Air M2 after 9 days
Lunar Lake does well at idle or low load, when most processes run on the e-cores. Fire up the P-cores and things go downhill quickly. It's a decent chip when you're not doing much but the high price makes it less attractive for consumers and the low (nonexistent?) margin for Intel makes it bad for b

Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 2 Business Laptop 14" Intel i5-1145G7 16GB 256GB Windows 11 Pro Renewed That was $400 Canadian dollars. I’m sure you can find something like that in America for that price Thinkpads have a big enough batteries that they should last due the whole day if not most of it. And an

Looking for recording laptop
Sure. The OP said Ryzen 7, so how about... Lenovo ThinkPad T14S Gen 1 14"FHD Touch Privacy AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U / AMD Radeon Graphics / 32 GB RAM / 1000 GB SSD / Windows 11 Pro A used one could be bought for approx. 660 € (+tax) – which is about $770 – even here in faraway Finland, so I'm sure it'd

T14s vs T480s vs T480
Yeah it's not impossible to find ram. It was cheaper a couple weeks ago but even without that it's still a strength of such old hardware. If 16GB of RAM is fine for your use case the AMD T14S is also gonna be least likely to have a failed battery (but that machine is still like 6-7 years old). On th

X13 Gen 6 AMD: A lightweight wonder
The V chip would put the X13 too close to the X1 Carbon. The funny thing is that the T14s Gen 6 and the E14 Gen 7 both have Lunar Lake V options, so it's Lenovo doing the usual market segmentation insanity again.
