Any opinions on the T14 Gen 5 AMD?
In this particular model, the OLED display eats battery like there's no tomorrow. You will get like up to 3 hours of battery life, compared to around 6 for the IPS panel. That runtime is with low/moderate use. On reviews you can see up to 12 hours or so (IPS display), but on idle. Also, getting the

Any opinions on the T14 Gen 5 AMD?
I have this laptop, originally purchased with the lousy screen. A month ago, I bought the OLED panel assembly from Lenovo and upgraded it. I love it now, but had to set the screen to 60hz to save battery life. IMO, the battery life on this model has always been lousy, and the OLED definitely uses mo

Purchased a certified refurbished T14 Gen 5 (AMD) off of eBay, only for the screen to have patches of what I can only assume are dead pixels. Options?
For the screen replacement procedure, I'd go with the official hardware maintenance manual: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/t14g5_t16g3_p14sg5_hmm_en.pdf. Maybe watch a video tutorial if any step needs clarification. As for sourcing the part, I usually start with checking what exact panel

What is the best thinkpad for daily use?
For my daily use i own T14 gen 5 (AMD). My GF got E14 gen 7 (Intel) and i must say I am surprised how good the E14 is. The only really noticeable differences in favour of T14g5 are: keyboard (backlighting and replacability) screen (a little bit better) Otherwise the E14g7 is much better in many ways

I am stuck between two displays. Which one to buy?
I would be running image editing and design software quite a bit so the display is important. So do you need the P3 colorspace or not? Seems pretty straightforward to me. T14G5 and P14sG5 Intel are two completely different machines. Latter is more powerful than the former even if similarly spec'ed d

Thinkpad t14 gen 5 AMD version, No sim card slot
I got similar T14G5 like this as well. SIM card and card reader slot are covered shut. Though for mine, I could confirm that there are empty module available for both WWAN and card reader by disassembly. I thought that's somewhat weird, why would Lenovo make such a Thinkpad like that. Turns out some

T14 G5a 100% srgb replacement
The T14G5 was delivered with one of three low-power 100% sRGB panels: CSOT MNE007JA1-2 (FRU 5D11H70002). Review 1, review 2. Looks to be the best in terms of response time and colour accuracy. AUO B140UAN02.1 (FRU 5D10V82494). Review. Slow response times. BOE NE140WUM-N6G (FRU 5D10V82454). Review. L

E14 Gen 6 vs T14 Gen 5
GIS... both displays are have very basic color gamut. I would search for anything with at least Ryzen 5 and at least 100%sRGB color gamut. Out of those two above I would pick T14G5.
