ThinkPad P16

ThinkPad P16 if mostly on desk, P1 gen 8 if you need a bit more portability. Desktop if it doesn't need to be a laptop, much more power for your money.

I have lenovo x1 carbon the best laptop I had experience with. Personally I have a p16 v version for heavy compute. I have used dell precision and business edition. Not fan of HP. But I moved myself to AVD.

There is no good way to handle this why not buy a cheaper / older gpu. You’re going to lose more time on money, support and licenses to run all of this then actually buying a 2nd machine. I would just buy a ThinkPad P16 Gen 2 (16” Intel) Mobile Workstation something like that

Person who made this sheet shows hints that he has little knowledge about configs and pcs. 1-NPUs litterally are still useless basically only windows and some apps use them for basic things like background blur and some shit, if you hvae a good GPU its basically redundant, ik npus are more efficient

Used/Refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad P series. Check Lenovo Outlet, eBay, etc. On eBay I see quite a few P16 models available in your price range. Personally, I would buy a P16 Gen 1 or 2 off eBay. Forget about T, E and X series in this case (except X1 Extreme). He needs a laptop with a dGPU, maybe Zbook Fury, Zbook Studio, Dell Precision 5000/7000 series or a ThinkPad P16/P1 Gen 5 and above or X1 Extreme gen 5.

I used a lenovo P14 when i was working in industry. Did a great job... my suggestions would be the P series (ThinkPad P16) if you want it as your daily workhorse, I found the T series a bit under-powered.
