My first ThinkPad (did I make a mistake?)
I just got my P14s Gen 6 Intel last week. I was choosing between the AMD and Intel versions and I chose Intel. Here’s what I’ll say. The average efficiency of AMD is going to be better. Intel had to go up to 14 cores with the Ultra 5 225H (what I have) and the Ultra 7 255H (which might have 16 cores

EU/IT Linux Laptop, what to buy?
Skip all the hype brands. Durable laptops with good Linux support are made by only 3 companies: Dell, Lenovo and HP. Discard all other options. Imo the absolute best laptop you can buy right now is the Dell Pro Max 16 Premium. See this video. Skip the GPU as always unless you really need it. Worthy

The perfect laptop does it exi-
I had the same concerns before buying but surprisingly it does not get loud or very hot even under load. When I max out the cores at 100% it gets up to ~80 Celsius (keyboard/areas you touch stay cool) and unlike the intel model, which does have better cooling, the performance isn’t throttled on batt

P14s Gen 6 - first use feels disappointing
I've had chatgpt write me a summary of what I've been doing last couple of days: Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 (Intel Core Ultra 7 255H) Cooling / Performance Mod Results I wanted to share the results of my cooling experiments and benchmarking on my P14s Gen 6 Intel. I went much deeper than a normal re

P14s Gen 6 - first use feels disappointing
However, when I got my P14s last week, boy I got disappointed. I traded off larger screen for better portability (apart from >60 Hz ofc) - but it ended up weighing 1.7 kgs, for a 14.5'' model. This kind of data is in PSREF: you may be deceived but that's on you for not checking the specs. powerful t

Massive improvements thanks to Intel Arrow Lake: Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 laptop review
Snapdragon 8 Elite battery from a phone is clearly even better. So I'm unsure what's the point of mentioning Lunar Lake when literally immediately above the quote you took it says the following: Last year's ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 Intel was already a great addition to the lineup. The new Lenovo ThinkPad

T24 Vs P14s AMD
P14s is tuned for performance with a higher, 32w pl2 vs t14 28w. Fan will be louder, system hotter and shorter battery life than T14. 470HX is basically a clone of 370HX so this review will give you a good insight. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Most-powerful-AMD-14-inch-ThinkPad-with-Ryzen-AI-9-HX-L

Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 4: Quietest Option? T16 Ryzen AI 7 Pro 350 vs T16 IPS Ultra 7 255U - Your Experience?
Check P14s Intel variant. It has absolutely different chassis: 14.5" display and double fan (with optional Nvidia dGPU). Read this review: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Massive-improvements-thanks-to-Intel-Arrow-Lake-Lenovo-ThinkPad-P14s-Gen-6-laptop-review.1144659.0.html Or another one on YouTube:

ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 (Intel) - On Website! Release Date?
I considered the 6th gen AMD variant even with the lesser CPU. The performance is nerfed. It doesn't have adequate cooling. The AMD version has 1 fan and heat pipe while the Intel version has 2 fans and heat pipes and generally runs a LOT better, that's why I'm also considering the ThinkPad P14s Gen
