Archicad user here....small residential office, and I do not do high end renders, I work within Archicad's rendering capabilities to share with clients and builders. I do develop detailed models of my projects with many design options, so my models will get kind of large, but not out of control. I h

Depends what you want but I love my Lenovo P1/X1 Extreme Older models 15.6” newer 16” nice choice of IPS with high resolution, 4K ones are great if you want great clarity. Battery life isn’t greatest but they are very thin and one of the lightest laptop available with a dedicated GPU.

I also seen this deal, if it is any good for £1800? - https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/p/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpadp/thinkpad-p1-gen-6-16-inch-intel-mobile-workstation/21fv005auk?orgRef=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.com%252F&cid=gb:seo:41h72l&srsltid=AfmBOoqyMQSVRWNL37VS7PjAnykk-RFakpMom-oadY80oAXFAzywi

Much better to share your MTM code than your serial. Is it possible to upgrade from the FHD panel to a 2K / WQXGA panel on the P1 Gen 6? In principle, if you do your research and can find panels with the same dimensions, which I believe exist. And find the right 40-pin eDP cable. With the help of th

That is too much for a P1 gen 6, which is now two generations old. Lenovo has this one for $1899 (with a 4080, but still): https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpadp/thinkpad-p1-gen-6-16-inch-intel-mobile-workstation/21fwsbaj00

I also tried the Zephyrus G14 with a edit : 5080 (not 4080). The laptop is amazing and if you want a 14” with power it is the one to get. However I did return it as the laptop is super hot and fans very loud. The build quality is definitely lower than the ThinkPad. I now use the Zephyrus G16 5080 an

I would suggest a used business class laptop. You can get them significantly cheaper than new and they'll run most games and software. The Lenovo Thinkpad P53, for example, has a graphics card (NVIDIA Quadro series) so it'll run games. The quado series is more for AutoCAD and rendering, but it'll ru

Delivery times have made me now change things slightly. I have now found a P1 Gen 7 for 1800 and a P1 Gen 6 with 1800, both have differing specs and I'm not sure what is better. Please which one of these two would you pick if you were me? https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/p/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpadp/thi

ThinkPads can come with they exact same GPU cards that are in your post. They can also come with professional versions of those cards that come with more VRAM and more tensor cores which are optimized for matrix math. These cards are literally designed for LLM/ML models. Some of their third gen stuf

In the UK, a lot of ThinkPads are around 23-24% off. Those reductions will stack with coupons like MOBILE2025 for an additional 5%. There are a few MEGADEAL offers that don't stack with coupons. I'm holding out for further reductions on the p1 gen 6. It seems perfect for coding, audio production and
