laptop tech says this cable is a design fault - lenovo z13

The gen 4/5/6 have common chassis design which sucks in more dust in between the mobo and the keyboard, as opposed to the outside of the mobo. It does suck less dust than average laptop (and in particular my previous X1 E2), but the dust that does get in requires removing motherboard to clean it, wh

Mechanical Engineering Laptop

The top-end T1g/P1 models trade battery life for raw performance. I find the Ultrabook Plus model to be a good all-rounder, even for CAD with fewer part counts. All packages are decent deals considering the warranty. Personally, I would wait until the summer for the Lenovo P1 Gen 9 to become availab

Architects, what computers or laptops do you personally use for working at home and while travelling?

Archicad user here....small residential office, and I do not do high end renders, I work within Archicad's rendering capabilities to share with clients and builders. I do develop detailed models of my projects with many design options, so my models will get kind of large, but not out of control. I h

Laptop under 1400 USD from US with international warranty.

Well, he wants to use design software so might want something with a GPU. Usually I'd suggest something like an HP ZBook Studio, Lenovo P1, or a Dell Precision

I feel like I'm going insane. Why has the ENTIRE industry decided touchpad click buttons are outdated?? Is the ThinkPad the ONLY modern laptop brand that makes touchpads with physical discrete buttons?

The buttons have a touch feedback when you don't look at them. You will know if your thumb is rested on the button that you won't move the cursor. Lenovo removed the physical button on the P1 Gen6 and as a result, when working with the touchpad, I have to constantly check where my button-clicking ha

End of an era: Why the construction of the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 is so significant

I am not too happy with my P1 gen 6 as a long time user. The thunderbolt port is problematic in Linux, the keyboard has failed for no reason after 3.5 years of usage, and the flaws of the design make it suck more dust in between the motherboard and the keyboard than on the bottom. The performance ha

Engineering laptop

The Lenovo is more durable for sure. Discreet GPU absolutely not required (new intel Xe is surprisingly robust) but not a terrible idea to accelerate CAD apps. Went with the Lenovo P1 for my kid but got it before memory prices spiked. Also a good option is to get the service contract that covers acc

Can anyone recommend a laptop without PWM and TD ??

Depends what you want but I love my Lenovo P1/X1 Extreme Older models 15.6” newer 16” nice choice of IPS with high resolution, 4K ones are great if you want great clarity. Battery life isn’t greatest but they are very thin and one of the lightest laptop available with a dedicated GPU.
