The Lenovo Thinkpad P1 Gen 5 is the worst device I’ve ever owned.
Like, ThinkPads don't normally go bad, but it is a pain in the ass when they go. I had a P15 Gen 1, which as flawless. Sold and god an P1 Gen 2 with the 4k screen, and problems were constant. Battery life, was mediocre but that was the 4k OLED fault, but the major problem came in a way of BIOS updat

Worth it ? ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 2 | 4K OLED | 40GB RAM | 1TB SSD | Workstation
I mean I have cheaper laptops from 20yrs ago that still work. For $600 I would not buy a X1 Extreme Gen 2 (which is basically the same as my P1 Gen 2). My touchpad doesn't scroll like every other laptop at the store today including my Thinkpad P1 Gen 2, so its also most

ThinkPad P1 / T1g Gen 8 OLED Display Quality
The OLED screen also uses more battery. So if that isn't a concern and you will be at 50%+, the OLED might work well for you. I also keep my machines a long time. My P1 Gen 2 was new from Lenovo, so maybe its 8 years old now. I don't have faith the OLED screen will last that long.
