Here, The T480(s) generation was replaced with T14(s) Gen3 AMD. Drastically improved CPU/iGPU performance (6th gen Ryzen7 has 8 cores, iGPU faster than dGPU on T480), first gen that reverted to 16:10 displays again. Real-world battery life when new was around nine hours with the WUXGA screen, quiet

E14 Gen7 and E16 Gen3 (14" and 16" editions of largely the same system) are both available with Ryzen7 250 / 780M iGPUs and have two NVME slots. I can wholeheartedly recommend those. Quality has improved dramatically over earlier generations, price point is good, this generation of AMD CPU/iGPU is p

E series is actually becoming quite good these last generations. Check the review of the previous gen to get a better idea maybe: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-E14-G6-laptop-review-Fixes-lots-of-problems-on-the-E14-G5.927075.0.html Indeed, it's the entry-lvl thinkpad so don't expect

Thanks for recommending these: E14 Gen7 E16 Gen3 Regarding the display... super information and appreciate the feedback! I am still leaning towards AMD due to cost, even though subpar panel (and maybe an opportunity to upgrade in the future). Any thoughts on the "webcam notch" for these two models -

E-series used to be really cheaply made, not anymore. Main difference these days is cheaper materials used for chassis (ABS plastic instead of CFK, but you can specify aluminum) which results in E-series weighing a bit more and being a little thicker than higher-priced models. But build quality, hin

So the thinkpad has better build quality and easier to do service. For your price range you can find the Thinkpad E14 Gen7 or the E16 Gen3 (14 and 16 inches). Check on the lenovo website of your country, don't go for less than a AMD Ryzen 7 250 or Intel Ultra 5 228V for the processor. If you want le

ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 - cheapest ThinkPad with decent quality. Long time ago E series were visible cheaply built but for the last few years Lenovo improved E series a lot. Check the reviews on this sub or the Notebookcheck (they have 3 reviews for different models of E14 Gen 7).
