Is the gap really that big?
The 9i has tb5, asus rog scar also have tb5. Next year 7 pro will also have tb5. Sure this laptop ain't cheap, but mini pc with ultra 9 275hx and a 5080 are about the same if not more expensive (supply and demand). Right now a 7i pro is listed 2.9k USD in Lenovo website, an equivalent spec Mini PC -
