Looks like Thinkpad L14, Lenovo’s “budget” Thinkpad will cost the same as Framework Laptop 13 Pro for identical CPU, SSD and RAM specs.
That's exactly why I'm happy when Costco appears to have decent models. Back in 2023 I got a Legion Pro 5i for $1k that's been amazing.

Gaming laptops have short battery life, and they mostly run on wall power. Legion Pro 5i (16", Gen 10) with RTX 5070 Laptop has desktop HX CPUs (short battery endurance) and weak integrated GPU options (for battery mode). The FW13 Pro has Thunderbolt 4 for an external GPU, and it runs mostly on wall

Recommend a laptop that is not a MacBook and is for Music Production & Gaming?
If you care about appearance, you'll want to look at the ROG Zephyrus laptops. Legion Pro 5i or 7i are well built and bang for buck, and can look sleek and understated, but they're not slim like a Macbook (really none of these are all that slim, they need the space for cooling). Both Zephyrus and Pr

CachyOS on Lenovo Legion
Perhaps lots of useful info here:https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Laptop/Lenovo Seems to be a solid experience overall. Other post:https://www.reddit.com/r/LenovoLegion/comments/1m1r1wi/legion_pro_5i_gen_10_linux/ This video briefly touches Linux, but it is a while ago on Fedora 42 (not newest today).ht

is a 5060, 350H G16 worth it? any alternatives?
5070ti is so much better than 5060. 12gb vram on the 5070ti is much more futureproof as well. Why doesn't ur bro like the g14? Legion Pro 5i, you didn't mention the specs, but it doesn't serve the same purpose as the Zephyrus laptops. It's not nearly as portable, thin/light and battery life isn't as

Rule of thumb these days: CPU: new gen Intel i5 or higher; Avoid older models and lower than i5 (If you have more budget pa, prioritize getting i7)GPU: RTX 3060/4060 or 3070/4070 series; Avoid XX50 seriesRAM: 16gb+ DDR5Storage: 500gb+ Kung AMD naman ung specs, hanapin mo nalang ung equivalent ng mga

This game is tough to play on the road… (suggestions?)
Iam not a pilot, but I do tend to travel due to work. The Finals is the only game I play (1300hrs +) and I bought a Legion Go handheld to play it while staying at the hotel. The experience was not good at all,low settings and small screen is not a good combo. I ended up buying a legion 5i pro gaming

Is this laptop good for engineering?
Overpriced for the specs. Also, do you really want to be carrying an 18 inch laptop around campus and to classes? Cause I tried that and it SUCKED. You can either get a pretty nice 5060 laptop for $800 CAD less (albeit with a slightly worse processor), or pay $200 more and get a 5070ti (which is ~50

Let’s talk about specs!
I run Sims on a 2-yr old Lenovo Legion Pro 5i, Windows 11: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i9 24-Core (13th Gen) 32GB DDR5 RAM 1TB NVMe SSD NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (8GB GDDR6) I do nothing but Sims on this laptop. Most of the Windows bloatware has been deleted from the system. I run two mods (MCCC & WW) that I'v
