I'm returning my Legion Go S after buying a Legion Go gen 1 and putting Steam OS onto it
It's amazing how different people can be. I find the Go S to be one of the most comfortable handhelds out there. If they just slapped an OLED with VRR into a Go S and left everything else exactly the same I'd be super happy and wouldn't have bought a Legion Go 2.

Made a pitstop after a work pickup to bless a new game.
Thats on a Legion Go S Z1E 32GB ram model. it runs insanely well on that, can do 120hz and keeps steady around like 80fps. Can probably squeeze out more fps if I drop the graphics down but it ran so well on the default settings I just left it lol

What are your thoughts about this.
The thing is that for people using Linux in general for gaming could end up getting better performance even though they would have an 8GB GPU which if you were to remember the Steam Machine would have 8GB only for the video memory so then games could possibly run a lot smoother and also the fact for

I refuse to accept this as my fate working in Windows
Gonna drop the cliche "I'm on linux" post. I dual boot and, without fail, get better performance on my Ubuntu boot compared to my windows boot. It's not a mac vs windows issue, its a "windows is criminally bloated" issue. Hell the Legion Go S that just came out is good proof of that. They have 2 dif

Windows hate is overblown.
I think it's mostly around the current implementation of windows on handhelds. It's a standard version of windows, with some extra bits on top to shoehorn it onto handhelds. Steamos was purpose built with handhelds in mind. It's also based on arch Linux and runs only what's required. Whereas you got

Which is the better option
Extra RAM doesn’t provide any benefit for 1080p gaming. You could put 128 GB of RAM in the Lenovo Legion Go S, and it wouldn’t increase FPS compared to 32 GB. You only start seeing benefits from more RAM when pushing higher resolutions or heavier textures, like at 1440p on devices such as the GPD Wi

If your Steam Deck Broke, Would You Buy Another One or a Different Handheld?
I, too, side graded to a Legion Go S SteamOS. For me, it is the Steam Deck 2. The same thing, but better in every way. The bigger, higher resolution screen makes a huge difference to me, as does the much better performance. It can run everything at 1080p, so I regularly plug it into the TV. When I d

Just got this beauty will see if it stays
Idk why people hate on this device so much but still glaze the steamdeck, They both have an identical chip, as long as you paid a similar price to the steamdeck, I think it’s a great device. At the MSRP it was a bad product, but I’ve seen it like 30% off recently (same price as the steamdeck) I’d sa

What are your opinons on the Flagship Handheld PC market
Because it's a hobby, and most hobbies aren't about making financial sense. You don't tell a guy who installed thousands of dollars worth of parts on his Porsche that he could've just bought a Honda Civic and still gotten to work just fine. People still buy an expensive camera when they have an iPho
