E14 VS. T14

E14 G7 is the more modular, with dual internal NVMe drive support, and upgrade-able WiFi cards, but its metal topped plastic chassis, isn't as rugged as the T14, and its displays are poorer, especially the entry level 45% NTSC. T14, metal sub-frame with a reinforced composite chassis, and stronger h

Thinking About Getting an E14 Gen 3

Varies by country, but reasonable for a 5 yr E14 G3, but you must verify the fitted display. E14 displays are not the best, and the G3 had 4 options all 16:9 FHD, a 250 nit TN panel, that's worth avoiding. Got my first Thinkpad (E14 G7)

I honestly don’t understand why Lenovo doesn’t provide 2.8K screen on the AMD variant of the E14 Gen 7. Like seriously! They ruined an almost perfect laptop by only giving you the option of a 1080x1200 45% NTSC screen.

ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 for €1,040 — worth buying?

I love ThinkPad. Hade ThinkPad for 12 years now. E-series was ther budget model and always really acceptable prices, until 2025. I wanted to buy the E14 gen 7 beacusu the 2.8k display - but I don't accept the new nuts prices. 2000 USD no way!! 700 USD 9 years ago. So Fck off Lenovo.
