If you are pain free, I'd suggest sticking with it. Pillows are so unique and it takes time to find the right one. They made me a comfort layer with all memory foam. I also have the Layla memory foam topper on top of that, so yes 6 inches of memory foam, but I don't have a sinking feeling at all, just cushioning and then the excellent support of the mattress.
