Too good to be true?

This is an old monitor and has been discussed previously. https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcmonitors/comments/12s56m4/kuycon_5k_27_inch_is_cheap_whats_the_catch/ Also posted in the mac sub: https://www.reddit.com/r/mac/comments/17w431a/apple_studio_display_vs_kuycon_g27x_5k_monitor/ They are not exactly the same.

The future of Grayscale AA

They would never merge it, we've been there and done that. I can understand why they would want to use grayscale only, but that HiDPI future wont arrive anytime soon. Just recently, Kuycon released somewhat affordable G27P at 1000$, for 60 Hz IPS. OLED screens still suffer from burn ins, and microle

Daughter Has 15" M4 Macbook Air And Wants A Monitor For Christmas

Here’s an alternative to the Apple Display if your budget allows: Kuycon G27P (US store): https://kuycon.us/monitors/G27P/ LG 32U990A-S 32" Ultrafine 6K: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FR547FXH You mentioned business and personal use — why not consider an ultrawide monitor? A good 34" (or larger) IPS u

My experience color calibrating Kuycon G32P monitor, ordered from ClickClack.io

For my Kuycon G27P, the sRGB mode is quite accurate outside of being ~6850K instead of 6500K, calibrating with i1 display pro fixed it entirely. I did two calibrations, one in native gamut and one in sRGB mode. Windows ACM does a good job clamping to sRGB when using the former calibration (and it ha

Anyone use the Kuycon 32" 6K Display?

I’ve been using the kuycon 27” 5K version for several years now. For work productivity, web browsing, YT, it’s great overall. I can’t speak to colors as I don’t do design work. A little tempted to get the 6K monitor, but I don’t see a real need to upgrade

Any good glossy or glass monitors other than Apple?

Here's the text, originally written in June and edited a few times after: Hong Kong, I believe. If different when it arrives, I'll follow-up. Details from their web site: Edit: linking to ClickClack.io as the official US vendor; kuycon-us seems unauthorized as a US vendor EDIT, 25 June, 2025: Air Wa

LG Ultrafine 5k Monitor for Macbook Air

You are not mentioning the size of the monitor you are looking for. There are a couple of options for clean apple like look and they do come around your budget. Alogic has a couple (27C5KPD?) , Kuycons (G27P, P20) I personally just received a Kuycon P40K (5K2K) which is outside your budget (~$1150)

Upgraded My Setup… Something Still Feels Missing

I actually went through 3 options before settling on this setup and daily drove all of them (perk of being a tech content creator 😅). Apple Studio Display, Kuycon G27P, and Samsung ViewFinity S9. All three are really close in terms of display quality. Like… surprisingly close. But when it comes to b

LG UltraFine 6k

The Studio Display clones, the Kuycon G27P 5K and Kuycon G32P 6K, are glossy, but I have not seen them with my own eyes. I had the PA27JCV. Such a beautiful design and great colors, but yeah, the matte is so “present.” Just as you did, I compared the Studio Displays next to each other, one glossy, t

Apple’s 2026 "new" Studio Display is a middle finger to every consumer.

I have a 5K Kuycon 27 inch monitor. It's beautiful. It's been working fine for 4 months. Comes with a tilt and height adjustable stand and a vesa mount. No speaker, no camera. I haven't used an apple studio display but it seems the ASD has a smoother stand. Cost for my Kuycon approx £800 including s
