They would never merge it, we've been there and done that. I can understand why they would want to use grayscale only, but that HiDPI future wont arrive anytime soon. Just recently, Kuycon released somewhat affordable G27P at 1000$, for 60 Hz IPS. OLED screens still suffer from burn ins, and microle

Here’s an alternative to the Apple Display if your budget allows: Kuycon G27P (US store): https://kuycon.us/monitors/G27P/ LG 32U990A-S 32" Ultrafine 6K: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FR547FXH You mentioned business and personal use — why not consider an ultrawide monitor? A good 34" (or larger) IPS u

I’ve been using the kuycon 27” 5K version for several years now. For work productivity, web browsing, YT, it’s great overall. I can’t speak to colors as I don’t do design work. A little tempted to get the 6K monitor, but I don’t see a real need to upgrade

At 27", there's the Asus PA27JCV at 5120 x 2880 for 218 ppi. $850.00 There's also the BenQ PD2730S, same resolution, but more expensive ($1300.00) (I'd rather have the Studio Display for a couple hundred more). There are others, like the Kuycon G27P at $1100, but I don't really know the brand and

I actually went through 3 options before settling on this setup and daily drove all of them (perk of being a tech content creator 😅). Apple Studio Display, Kuycon G27P, and Samsung ViewFinity S9. All three are really close in terms of display quality. Like… surprisingly close. But when it comes to b

I have a 5K Kuycon 27 inch monitor. It's beautiful. It's been working fine for 4 months. Comes with a tilt and height adjustable stand and a vesa mount. No speaker, no camera. I haven't used an apple studio display but it seems the ASD has a smoother stand. Cost for my Kuycon approx £800 including s

generally the way to go is an apple monitor, but they're not cheap and you probably don't need many of their features. to get close to mba/imac display look for hiDPI glossy monitors with P3 wide color gamut, for example benq MA270U or kuycon G27P

Besides the micro brands like Kuycon, I’ve not heard of other glossy 5K monitors other than the Philips one you’ve mentioned. LG still sells the 5K ultrafine which I think is glossy but it is terribly ugly and outdated. The Philips one has uniformity issues, which the studio display also has but not
