Capacitors are through the board and soldering is easy compared to other surface mount components. Buy new ones at mouser farad rating must be same voltage and temp rating higher is better if the board has enough space get a higher voltage rated one. Low esr ones are better. If you're only playing in a living room, then I'd go with studio monitors. Honestly, unless it's a pretty large room, 5 or 7 inch monitors are probably fine.
