Capacitors are through the board and soldering is easy compared to other surface mount components. Buy new ones at mouser farad rating must be same voltage and temp rating higher is better if the board has enough space get a higher voltage rated one. Low esr ones are better. If you care about accuracy for mixing, go Yamaha HS8. They’re flatter and translate better. If you just want something more “fun” with extra low end and newer features, go KRK Rokit 7. 8 years isn’t a big deal if the HS8s weren’t abused. I’d personally pick HS8 for mixing.
