I sold my Kobo Libra Color and got the Kobo Clara BW. I couldn't be more happier.
I'm convinced the Libra Colour is selling like it is because a lot of people hadn't used an e-reader before it. Plenty who have used b/w e-readers like yourself come to that same conclusion, that the inferior actual reading experience (KLC on right KL2 on left) isn't in any way worth seeing the book

Vancouver Public Library E Reader
Can't say for VPL since I can't borrow from VPL (living outside proper Vancouver boundary), only from BPL. But yeah I've borrowed some e-books and comics from the library and get it on my Kobo Libra Colour. The other way (more expensive?) is getting one of those android based eink e-reader and just

Kobo libra colour disappointment
the price is quite high for what it offers. I paid 300 euros for a new device (without the pen) and the user experience definitely does not feel like 300 euros at all Just curious, where is it this high? I'd agree that's far too much. Official pricing in Europe seems to be €239.99. https://eu.kobobo

New Kindle ScribeColorsoft 2025
As far as the colors are concerned on the screen, Amazon is portraying them to be more vibrant (like an LED or LCD screen) than they actually will be on the device. It's very deceptive, but such is the company... The tech used is kaleido 3, this tech is a bit different than gallery 3 (used on the pa

Best colored e-reader?
I have a Kobo libra colour and the Boox go 7 colour gen 2. I have a micro sd card filled with books and manga. My boox go 7 gen 2 is my absolute favourite. Since the last update bookcovers finally look better on the Boox than on the Kobo. It’s sleek and smaller and just a really nice device. Snappy,

Australian readers: Kobo or Kindle?
I’ve had a Kindle since about 2011 or so. In about 2024 I bought a Kobo Libra Color ‘cause my Kindle was getting v slow… and then last year I bought a new Kindle 🙈 I dunno, I just barely used the Kobo, there wasn’t a lot I wanted to read through Libby (I still borrow hard copies from my library), an

Cool to warm gradient defect in kobo libra color.
This happened to me. I was getting a headache reading because the button side is cool and the non-button side is warm. I returned it and got a Clara BW instead. Search r/kobo and you’ll see others. From what I gather it’s fairly widespread and a lot of people just don’t notice it. Even when people p

help me choose an e-reader
If you only mostly read black and white content/text, the Clara BW is really 100% worth it over the Colour model believe me. The screen is much better for it. The colour e-ink devices have a ton of compromises; and only really properly utilised if you’re exclusively reading comics or similar and you

If you are looking for an eReader this Christmas, there is one from Europe - Pocketbook/Vivlio
Kobo is really colour-first (worse screen quality), has really buggy software and essentially requires you turn your EPUBs to their own kepub format in order to mitigate that and have extra features, unlike Pocketbook which reads them as is without issues. And the build quality/feel is horrible. Wor

Bezle color does matter!
I experience this to a greater degree with my Kobo Libra Colour because Kaleido 3 screen is already naturally grey-er than Carta 1300. Even the BW Carta 1300 at best only has about 70-80% reflectance of actual white surface and to make things worse, Kobo uses a pearly white paint for its white bezel
