I sold my Kobo Libra Color and got the Kobo Clara BW. I couldn't be more happier.
I'm convinced the Libra Colour is selling like it is because a lot of people hadn't used an e-reader before it. Plenty who have used b/w e-readers like yourself come to that same conclusion, that the inferior actual reading experience (KLC on right KL2 on left) isn't in any way worth seeing the book

Kobo or kindle
Returning my Kobo Libra Colour after trying it out for a few hours. I really wanted to like this thing, with the physical buttons and the freedom to load up on DRM free EPUB format, but honestly, the screen brightness and clarity is so poor without the backlight compared to my 16 year old kindle. I

Best colored e-reader?
I have a Kobo libra colour and the Boox go 7 colour gen 2. I have a micro sd card filled with books and manga. My boox go 7 gen 2 is my absolute favourite. Since the last update bookcovers finally look better on the Boox than on the Kobo. It’s sleek and smaller and just a really nice device. Snappy,

If you are looking for an eReader this Christmas, there is one from Europe - Pocketbook/Vivlio
Kobo is really colour-first (worse screen quality), has really buggy software and essentially requires you turn your EPUBs to their own kepub format in order to mitigate that and have extra features, unlike Pocketbook which reads them as is without issues. And the build quality/feel is horrible. Wor

help me choose an e-reader
If you only mostly read black and white content/text, the Clara BW is really 100% worth it over the Colour model believe me. The screen is much better for it. The colour e-ink devices have a ton of compromises; and only really properly utilised if you’re exclusively reading comics or similar and you

Recommendation for a first ereader.
Good PDF support, colour for comics and good experience = large and expensive. Can’t really get around that. Something in the 7’’ would be a compromise that does PDFs and comics within that budget (Kobo Libra Colour, Boox Go 7 Colour Gen II), but “good experience” would be very, very subjective. I w

Are you team Kindle or Kobo?
Kindle. I bought a kobo libra colour and really wanted to love it. However there are a few things that makes kindle far superior in my eyes despite me wanting to love the kobo. Firstly, the ease of transferring books on my kindle. I can simply do it on my phone in two steps. It takes a lot longer on

Need your opinions, handsome people that you all are.
Libra Colour is 7", and for manga you want a device as large as possible. (7" is the bare minimum, I would still recommend getting at least an 8" one). And for manga, you should get a b/w ereader, you don't (I guess?) want to sacrifice quality in b/w content for getting colours on the few coloured p

I bought a reMarkable Pro to replace my iPad for note-taking. Here's why I was wrong (and what I learned about digital minimalism)
But what about the iCloud storage? You’re paying through the nose per month for 2TB or more, and the iCloud storage isn’t just for your important stuff on the iPad. I’d easily have over 2TB of storage and as a student, that’s not something I am prepared to continue paying through the nose for. You a

Does mangadex run well on ereaders?
Most e readers don’t support that function. However you can create cbz files for manga and read them on e readers. As a former kindle owner and current kobo Libra color owner it’s not supported.
