I sold my Kobo Libra Color and got the Kobo Clara BW. I couldn't be more happier.
I'm convinced the Libra Colour is selling like it is because a lot of people hadn't used an e-reader before it. Plenty who have used b/w e-readers like yourself come to that same conclusion, that the inferior actual reading experience (KLC on right KL2 on left) isn't in any way worth seeing the book

Australian readers: Kobo or Kindle?
I’ve had a Kindle since about 2011 or so. In about 2024 I bought a Kobo Libra Color ‘cause my Kindle was getting v slow… and then last year I bought a new Kindle 🙈 I dunno, I just barely used the Kobo, there wasn’t a lot I wanted to read through Libby (I still borrow hard copies from my library), an

The new Boox Go 6 (gen II)!! (in custard)
I just got a kobo Libra color but then I saw this and have a little fomo. I know upgrading to a ereader that could access Libby, hoopla, kindle, Apple Books, etc, all in one is probably the better choice and the price point on this one is great. I’m not a big fan of yellow, but that custard is 😻. Id

Onleihe

To those of you who have 2 e-readers, why do you keep both and what do you use each one for?
Boox Palma 2 and a Kobo Libra Colour. The former is my main e-reader, the latter has been delegated to a glorified etch a sketch/beautifying my KOReader interface. Both colour e-ink and Kobo did not work for me, but it was a gift so I don’t have it in my heart to sell it.

Readers who use an e-reader: Kindle vs Kobo?
You're leaning the right way. I was a long-time Kindle user who jumped ship to a Kobo Libra Colour last year. The constant "Currently Unavailable" stock issues in India for nearly 2 years—plus Amazon withholding new tech like Kindle Colorsoft —made it clear they didn't care much about Indian users.

Don't Buy from Onyx Boox
I wouldn't recommend kobo for your use. I have a kobo libra colour, and recently got a kindle scribe coloursoft. Kobo currently don't have a large colour screen ereader. Their elipsa 2E is a few years older. And using the kindle scribe coloursoft, i wouldn't choose kobo as my larger device anymore.

Color ereader to read to children?
I have a Kobo Libra colour that I sometimes use to read to my kids, and there's plenty of books to borrow from Libby. It works ok if the page isn't too colourful however my kids have commented that it's a bit small but they'll read on it. If there's a lot of colour like picture books or graphic nove

Shopping for an e-reader with: physical buttons, Kindle access, and a color screen.
Boox Go 7 Color Gen II, or if you're okay moving your books away from Kindle, Kobo Libra Colour, although it doesn't support Libby magazines, so probably just the Boox.

Upgrade : PW 11th Gen -> Kobo Libra Color ?
the libra color screen has lower contrast than pw because of the color filter layer - text looks slightly grayer. software speed is similar to kindle for page turns but library navigation can stutter. if you read mostly novels, the color adds nothing and pw wins on sharpness. for comics or color cov
