Kobo clara BW. It has an experimental web browser but it’s not very useable so they won’t probably spend time on the web.

I really love my Pocketbook Verse Pro. It handles a ton of formats, and sideloading is the best experience I’ve had. I’ve owned kindles, and I currently own a Kobo Clara BW that I rarely use now.

Have you tried a reader/brand that jams all the time and/or that requires you to "use a bunch of proprietary software bullshit" so people can avoid suggesting it? Cause this sounds like just a Kobo Clara B&W or basic Kindle
