Wharfdale Linton or Klipsch RP-600MII

Wharfedale all the way . I own the Klipsch RP 600m II and I hated them. Absolutely hated the boosted highs and scooped out mids. No warmth or details. Just screechy highs. I bought the Lintons and I’ve never been happier.

What speakers?

I have this receiver and I paired it with set of Klipsch RP-600M II. They go really well together with decent bass and smooth a smooth high end... I also have a vintage pair of KLH 6's that I rotate in on occasion. Great bass but the edge goes to the Klipsch's treble range. With either speaker set y

Expandable stereo setup

Well my advice is to buy used. You can take some chances then and sell without loosing money if you don't like it. For metall it can be tricky to find a good match.. I would stay away from anything with metal dome tweeters. Find a pair of used Dalis for example. And a used Denon or Marantz amplifier

Just got a turntable

Like others say you'll need phono stage and an amp. You could go with a stereo reciver like the Sony DH190 which has plenty of power and a phono section. I recommend the Klipsh RP 500 MK II speakers. They are awesome and Klipsh did a really great job at making the mk II models. The new MKII RP model
