Wharfdale Linton or Klipsch RP-600MII
Wharfedale all the way . I own the Klipsch RP 600m II and I hated them. Absolutely hated the boosted highs and scooped out mids. No warmth or details. Just screechy highs. I bought the Lintons and I’ve never been happier.

Speakers for low level listening
For affordable bookshelves, and in my personal experience over the years with multiple sizes and brands of speakers(Elac, Wharfedale, CSS), the Klipsch RP600M have given me the best low level listening experience with exceptional detail and bass. Paired with a Yamaha A-S801, I can exploit the loudne

Does the average audiophile consider Kl*psch a forbidden word?
Even their non-Heritage stuff is really good. Take a listen to the RP-600M 2s. They were the Stereophile budget product of the year (or Editor’s Choice or something along those lines). They sound really good ; MUCH better than their modest price would indicate. I bet if Klipsch made RP600M Ultras in

Help with set up
I just got that same turntable, but the one with the ortofon 2m blue instead of the nagaoki cartridge. I love it so far, it's a great table and it was easy to set up. I watched a ton of you tube videos on the preamp options, amp pairings and speakers. I ended up doing a Fosi audio stack with their X

My setup needs a record player!
Fluance RT82 or up. I run an RT82 with a VM95ML head > Fosi Box X5 phono preamp > Sony STR-DH190 receiver > Klipsch RP-600m II speakers. Absolutely love it. EDIT: and I literally have it on the same cabinet lol

My first foray into high quality speakers and I’m not sure what to expect.

Tv too high?
Excellent taste in speakers. Klipsch's RP-600M's? Poor taste in TV placement. Two feet too high.

First Turntable setup - ~$1000 Budget - Advice needed
Ah, my favorite price point! :) Fluance RT82 - $299 (good choice!) Yamaha A-S301 - $349 (better built-in preamp than most amps, and a great integrated amp to boot) KEF Q150 - $299 (much, MUCH better than the Klipsch R-60M, and digs as deep despite the smaller driver. If you must have Klipsch, get th

KEF Q550 or Klipsch R-600F
There is no RP-600F. There are RP-600M, RP-600M II, RP-6000F, RP-6000F II, etc.. OP means this Klipsch R-600F. Not something I would recommend. It is from their entry level series. (The RP are “somewhat” OK-ish, if you like elevated treble etc.. But Reference series is probably just bad.)

No replacement for displacement. Looking for LOUD speakers
I second this. The Wharfedale Linton (with stands) are currently my favorite speakers for under $2000. My other current speakers include the Klipsch RP-8000F (which are good for Rock too IMHO) and the RP-600M (I enjoy them with Jazz especially). The Lintons sound good with almost anything and are al
