T14s G6 Lunar Lake equals T14s G6 Snapdragon battery life
Pretty good. The battery life when completely idle on a fresh Win 11 installation was out of this world (like >30 hours). However, for a realistic office workload, things look quite different. I've tried doing a regular work day on battery, which consists of typical project management work with lots

Building new PC with 8yo daughter. Asking for help/advice.
This is right at the top of your budget, but I think you’ll like these choices. Note that the 9850X3D is brand new. Consequently, it’s important that you update the bios before installing the CPU. Your mb has the latest WiFi 7 and Bluetooth built-in. There’s no need for an add-on dongle. MOTHERBOARD

Is the SK hynix Platinum P41 still the go to SSD for energy efficiency in 2025?
I would not use the 9100 in any mobile application or any application lacking a direct-contact heatsink: it would be constantly thermal throttling making it an inefficient AND slow option as its performance would be nerfed. The Hynix P41 is still a competitive Gen4 drive but I've never felt it was "

Is this a good pc for 2000€?
The 7800X3D can be easily cooled with air (e.g., Thermalright Phantom Spirit); you would use an AiO only for the looks. Samsung drives are overpriced. A more reasonable drive would be the Kioxia Exceria G2/Exceria Plus G3/Exceria Plus G4. For this system, 1000 W is overkill. Unless you're actually p

Looking for a Medium Gaming PC
The Exceria Basic uses QLC flash, which has low durability and becomes noticeably slower after a few years. Get a better drive with TLC flash like the TeamGroup MP33, Patriot P400 Lite/VP4300 Lite, or Kioxia Exceria Plus G4.

[Help] Any help with final parts for new build please, been 10+ years since i have done this
Thats a solid choice. I would change the PSU (same qualiity but cheaper), Ram (RGB would be blocked anyways by the cooler), a cheaper b850 MoBo (has literally anything you need), cheaper NVMe (its a good TLC one, doesnt have DRAM but you wont need that usually). Also if you play on 1440p, a cheaper

Is RAM extension gimmick? Or does it really works ?Should I keep it off ?
turn it off, it destroys ROM with write cycles that are limited. Same goes with paging file in Windows installed on PC SSD (600 TB TBW on kioxia exceria plus g4)

Pc part picker list
Phantom Spirit has 7 pipes instead of 6. B850 motherboard instead of B650. 32GB RAM instead of 16GB. 6000CL30 instead of slower RAM with bad latency. PCIe 5 TLC SSD instead of PCIe 4 QLC. Very competitive PSU: https://www.cybenetics.com/evaluations/psus/2478/ https://www.cybenetics.com/evaluations/p

Can I get some opinions on my build and if you guys think it’s good?
There's a balance and price matters. Overall this build is just unbalanced. For example you get a PCIe 5 NVMe SSD, and then you get a motherboard that will run it at PCIe 4 speeds. I mostly hate it. Instead Of PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 4.7 GHz 12-Core Processor $31
