Why no one talks about Kindle in India?

Buying books on Kindle has become expensive imo. When I bought Kindle back in 2016, they allowed any Epubs downloaded from internet to be copied on the device. But, since 2022-23, they stopped allowing that. Now, you have to upload your legally purchased Epubs to their store and download it from the

My Amazon TV now unmutes itself during Prime Video commercial breaks

I download the book and upload it to my Kindle over USB with Calibre. The download option is a little hidden, for obvious reasons, but if you poke around on your order page you can find it. My Kindle has never left airplane mode and never known an internet connection and it's going to stay that way.

Failure to remove drm and all books are KFX ZIP

Coloursoft is too new. Won't work. And no guarantees an exploit will be found anytime soon. Any devices running firmware 5.18.5 and newer don't work so far. That includes 11th gen and 12th gen and Scribe and Coloursoft. Getting an older kindle is rough. As of May 20th, the oldest models that have wo

DeDRM and recent Kindle Books

I have a PaperWhite 2021. Until 5.18.6 I could export. Now I use an older Kindle (2012) to export

Questions about the Kindle download controversy…

I was a prime member, had been for over 8 years. I have over 700 books in kindle and over 1200 audiobooks in audible. I used to have a voyage for over 5 years until I accidentally cracked the screen and upgraded to kindle paperwhite signature three years ago. At first, I also believed books in kindl

Best Ereader for actually owning your books?

Kobo books are easier to de-DRM, meaning you get to keep them, while Amazon keeps making it more difficult and less consumer-friendly with each new update. In the UK Kindle/Amazon has no kind of rewards points/programme (I believe this is different in the USA?), I've been able to use my points from

New DRM Added to Kindles with 5.18.5 Update, Breaking DRM Removal

I like the UI of the Kobo a lot more than my paperwhite. It's more aesthetically pleasing, better organized, null of adds entirely, etc. I also think the Kobo interface is faster/more responsive. I have a Kobo libra color and it has dropbox and onedrive access built in, or you drag and drop 3rd part

Kobo v kindle

My vote goes to the kobo libra colour coming from an older kindle paperwhite. Really really love the libra and the ease of sideloading books through calibre and screensaver customisation and just love it more than my old kindle overall. Also not a fan of Amazon’s business practices with the kindle a

Upcoming Crackdowns - Options?

That and how long will they last when compare to a Kindle. But that is beside the point, Kindle is just an eReader it can't do anything else but access Amazon store and give you free ads; Boox, Viwoods, Bigme are Android devices and will get support until that version of Android is supported, I don'

Kindle PW 12th gen vs Clara BW

Kobo is made out of very cheep fragile plastic, the build quality of PW is superior. The screen is the same but on kindle you have another layer of plastic so the contrast is slightly better on kobo. Kindle on the other hand has a very closed system and if your not willing to jailbreak you're goin t
