I'll throw another recommendation at you--a Keychron Q5 MAX instead. It's more compact than a full size but still has all the same keys so it means less movement of your hands from one side to the other. Forget all those terms for now if you're just starting out. Since all you're used to are the mem

All metal case, hot swap, with numpad and sound dampening?

i've been down this exact road looking for a quiet work board. the Keychron Q5 Pro fits almost everything you listed - all aluminum, hotswap, has the numpad, foam already inside, and gasket mount. comes in under your budget too. if you want wireless, the Q5 Max adds that for a bit more. i'd grab som

My work setup

Keychron Q5 max is probably my favorite work layout. Retains the second ctrl key, full size numpad, three macro keys. The only thing you lose is End, but I just map that to fn+home

Another newcomer here, looking for recommendations. I really like the 96%/1800/mini full size layouts. Realized I do not use any of the keys in the home section of a full sized keyboard outside of delete. However, I do need a number pad for work and a separate num pad doesn't appeal to me.All that t

Keychron. I have a Q5 max, all aluminum that I love but it's a 96% which I know isn't fullsize, but it has almost all of the keys including a numpad. Otherwise, I think it's the Q6 that is the 100%. They have an HE version with wooden accents that is beautiful, but these are pretty pricy and the cus

Looking for a keyboard to use across windows and macos

If you want mechanical then Keychron is the obvious choice. If you want high profile and need a numpad go for the Q5 Max or V5 Max. If you don’t need a numpad Q1 Max or V1 Max. For low profile go K3 Max with no numpad or K17 Max if you need a numpad. If you don’t want mechanical then the Logitech MX

What does it mean when people say Keychron Is "Good Enough"?

Actually after having a Evo80 which I don't have to do anything out of the box, I don't even think I can recommend a Q max keychron. But Keychron comes in many layouts and I did get a Q5 max because I need a numpad. For the price of Q range trying to be a custom..it is okay, hence good enough. Good

Hi all, My old and trusted Leopold is dying on me so I'm searching for a replacement. This is the perfect time to also do a quality upgrade and I'm looking for either the Evoworks Evo 80 or the Keychron Q5 Max. Questions I have are I have trouble locating a Evo 80 seller in or around The Netherlands

I could never do that. I rely heavily on both the numpad and the navigation keys. I needed a little more space on my keyboard tray, so my compromise was to move from the Keychron Q6 MAX to the Q5 MAX.
