It's a good keyboard; I have a Q5 MAX, and it's one of my favorites. It still has the original Jupiter Banana switches, and I replaced the keycaps with Metropolis R2. It looks great. I find the knob useful, but I could manage without it. At least it's more discreet than the one on the OnePlus 81 Pro

What profile is that? Keychron has a few (Keychron OSA, Cherry and recently some new SA-type).Edit: I see new Q5 Max has KSA. Well, KSA profile caps are not very colorful: https://www.keychron.com/products/double-shot-ksa-pbt-keycap-full-keycap-set?variant=40312087969881 You can check Drop MT3 caps,

Another newcomer here, looking for recommendations. I really like the 96%/1800/mini full size layouts. Realized I do not use any of the keys in the home section of a full sized keyboard outside of delete. However, I do need a number pad for work and a separate num pad doesn't appeal to me.All that t

Keychron. I have a Q5 max, all aluminum that I love but it's a 96% which I know isn't fullsize, but it has almost all of the keys including a numpad. Otherwise, I think it's the Q6 that is the 100%. They have an HE version with wooden accents that is beautiful, but these are pretty pricy and the cus

Is there a website recommendation for buying a prebuilt mechanical keyboard? I know of keychron, was wondering if there are others. I am looking for a new 96% layout keyboard for my office, preferably with clicky or tactile switches. I am pretty unfamiliar with all the lingo when it comes to mechani

It sucks but I'm using a Q5 Max that hasn't had issues, but I've never so much as swapped a switch on it so far, which is where most people seem to get issues to happen. Also putting lots of pressure when typing or gaming. I don't do either so I'm fine for now. People guess it has to do with the fle

Leopold Fc900 is really hard to beat for a pre built board. Not sure on the conversion rate at the moment, but it should be near your budget/worth expanding to obtain. That said, you are going to lose RGB, and the further you get into the hobby the quicker you notice LEDs becoming less and less prev

Maybe not so? Perhaps I have been lucky through the q1 pro, q5 max, q1 he, lemo l1, lemo he, but I have not had a failure from keychron. I have seen several posts about avoiding the q6, which I have no experience. I have moved on from Keychron to other boards, but KC was a good gateway drug.
