Are you sure it is the switches? Have you done controlled experiments? For example, does a suspect switch still fail if inserted back in (in a different location)? Reseat before exchanging. Related: Keychron 2024 design and production quality issues with keychattering and missed keystrokes Keychron

I switched from a Keychron K5 Max to a Nuphy and haven’t looked back… the Keychron felt very cheap and plasticky and I had to make 2 warranty claims on it. I try ink their newer offerings are probably better, but I’m much happier here

There is a K5 Max. Though it may or may not be affected by the Keychron 2024 design and production quality issues with keychattering and missed keystrokes.

The K55 is a membrane keyboard so stay away from those. I think you might prefer a low profile keyboard. While i would not recommend Keychron normally since i have seen a fair amount of complaints about quality and people getting dead on arrival keyboards. They do have a few different fullsize low p

Mmmm... I'd buy a Keychron before some sketchy Redragon. Newer ones are fine but their older models are just... no. On the other hand, Keychron is also bad these days. I don't know if this is good or bad, but it's low profile, 100%, hotswap and QMK/VIA. https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k5-

Re "maybe it's a key issue": It could be, but there are more likely causes, like cold solder joints. First isolate the problem to, for example, either the switch or the position on the keyboard, by moving switches around. Related: Keychron 2024 design and production quality issues with keychattering

There are many reports for the K Max series. Even with soldered-in switches (hotswap sockets are an extra potential failure source): Double presses on certain keys. K5 Max with soldered-in switches (thus, all the failure modes related to the use of hot-swappable switches do not apply). It failed aft

There aren't any reports for the K7 Max, probably because much fewer are being sold, but there are for the similar K1 Max, K3 Max, K5 Max, and K17 Max. For example, Keychron K17 Max QMK is my first disappointing keyboard in 20 years. Mostly the A key, but intermittently which key. Manufacturing date

Are serious? How is it above standards? Soldered switches, price higher than market standard, no via/qmk and far as the reviews should, totally sub par sound. Really name one thing that makes this keyboard stand out against a cheap keychron like a Keychron K5Max

I‘ve been looking for a board for quite some time now – had to return a Keychron K5 Max due to an unresponsive key. I’ve decided to go for a more premium keyboard to avoid quality control issues – would you suggest any keyboards to consider?
