You mean you don't want it to be compact? You could look at the Keychron K5 Max, but it probably won't sound or feel as good as the Lofree. Would probably feel better though if you got different switches.

Keychron is the same price for me, at least, the k5 max version which is the only version that will do it for me, as I use wireless USB. It has no see-thru keys, which defeats the purpose of having rgb (or any light for that matter). Keychron does sell abs see thru keycaps, but that almost doubles t

Are you sure it is the switches? Have you done controlled experiments? For example, does a suspect switch still fail if inserted back in (in a different location)? Reseat before exchanging. Related: Keychron 2024 design and production quality issues with keychattering and missed keystrokes Keychron

Can’t offer much guidance as I am currently in the same boat looking for a similar keyboard. I have come across the Keychron K5 Max but have heard RGB lights aren’t very strong. Also looked at Nuphy Air96 V2 but concerned with the battery issues others have reported. Lofree also hit my radar but pro

I switched from a Keychron K5 Max to a Nuphy and haven’t looked back… the Keychron felt very cheap and plasticky and I had to make 2 warranty claims on it. I try ink their newer offerings are probably better, but I’m much happier here

I too have used Magic Keyboard for ober a decade. After i upgraded to a mac studio that didnt come with a keyboard i tried to come close with the keychron k5 max. Totally hated it and got the Q6 max. Low profile is not as important as i thought it was

There is a K5 Max. Though it may or may not be affected by the Keychron 2024 design and production quality issues with keychattering and missed keystrokes.

The K55 is a membrane keyboard so stay away from those. I think you might prefer a low profile keyboard. While i would not recommend Keychron normally since i have seen a fair amount of complaints about quality and people getting dead on arrival keyboards. They do have a few different fullsize low p

Wanna know the biggest irony? I could buy the K5 Max + ABS shine-thru. PBT opaque is a NO GO for me. I have only TWO basic requirements for ANY kayboard. N1: it needs to be wireless and N2: it needs to have backlit keys that are visible in the dark. I've been using wireless backlit keyboards since t

Re "I am not sure about the Bluetooth performance of this keyboard": A lot depends on the computer side, both hardware and software. Keychron's keyboards can be quite demanding in that respect Or in other words, you may have to purchase new Bluetooth hardware to make it works reliably (here is my 'j
