At what price point do you consider all tower speakers in the same price range/class "high-end."
It is a very personal question. Unfortunately that kind of question gets the male karen out of the woodwork who absolutely have to let us know that their $2000 system sounds like 100,000 and the folks that spent the extra 98,000 are just a bunch of fools. To me, if you get something like a pair of K

Chose the Lintons over these other three towers
Completely agree. I auditioned the Lintons against the KEF LS50 Metas & KLH Model 5s at Just Audio in Baltimore (shout out — they’re great!). The Lintons won and it wasn’t even close for me. I would get goosebumps every time they switched back to the Lintons. I loved the KEFs too, but they felt a li

Speakers that Bang
I don’t accept your premise. There’s no reason B&W, Philharmonic or other audiophile brands should not be suited for Hip Hop or R&B. The implication there is that these genres are not produced to audiophile standards and I think that sells those producers short. It sounds like you have a preference

Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor
That is wild! We have siblings. Which KEFs were you comparing them to? I have LS50 Metas which image slightly better but the dynamic capability of the Auditor leave them in the dust in terms of clarity and realism.

Not sure I trust the You Tube audiophiles
For what it’s worth, I level matched and A/B tested LS50 metas and Lintons in my room. The Kefs had more precise imaging and slightly crisper highs. The Lintons had a significantly better low end, as you would imagine, a warmer midrange and a wider soundstage. My favorite thing about the Lintons tho

Are Kef speakers all that good? {LS60}
KEF makes very good speakers with a unique listening experience from their coaxial concentric drivers. Most find them neutral to slightly warm in presentation. KEF speakers image extremely well and are quite holographic. They've been developing concentric drivers for a long time and are on their 11t

I heard (almost) every KEF Meta speaker in existence, here are 8 key findings
I started with Heresy IV’s and a good Yamaha amp. I moved to LS50 Metas and a KC62 on the same amp. Better. I upgraded my amp to an Hegel 390. Also worth it. The LS50M’s used every single watt. Then moved to a Kef reference one meta and was shocked at how much better it sounded. And finally ditched

New Turntable Day — 1995 Technics SL-1210MK2
Recently picked up from my local hifi store and couldn’t be happier. They added an internal ground and new RCA cables while I added the hinges and MK7 dust cover at home. Sounds incredible, just as this subreddit says. For those curious, these are all the specs and complete setup: AT-XP5 Cartridge P

LSX II LT or LS 50 Meta?
Given you have that really nice Hegel, I’d go with the LS50 Meta. That assumes you really have the desk space as they are also sizable speakers. I run LS50 wireless with a sub in my office, and they sound very good. FWIW: Actually, wish I’d gone non-wireless/powered due to KEF’s not-so-good control

KEF overrated?
Dunno… Had quite a few different speaker systems but I totally loved my KEF Reference model II speakers and actually am very happy with my LS50 Meta’s now.
