I heard (almost) every KEF Meta speaker, here are my 8 key findings, longer version

The biggest benefit of active speakers is that it is easier to cross over ghe drivers. However KEFs passive crossovers are so good and they suppress driver break up so well I don’t really see much of a benefit there. In ma mind it’s mainly a added potential failure point. I would never buy a referen

KEF: Horrible after sales service

This sucks to hear. LS60 are my holy grail but I can never trust Kef with all the QC and customer service issues. I wish JBL would make a competent competitor to Kef's powered+streaming speaker lineup.

KEF LS60 First thoughts

Really depends on what you want / what you already have. I tried out the LS60 / LS50 Wireless and then the LS50 Meta. If I didn't already have everything (amp, pre, receiver, etc) I would have absolutely gone with the KEF active speakers. Out of all of them, I really love the LS50 Meta (and the R3 M

Recommendations for my girlfriends new loudspeakers < 1700 Euro

I've discussed this with my girlfriend, even the LSX II. But we came to the conclusion, to invest in something which could last decades instead of being outdated every 5-10 years, due to outdated software, protocols etc. or at least we only have to replace the amp. I may stay with the Wireless serie

Are Kef speakers all that good? {LS60}

I'll keep it short as there far better responses in the comments than I can contribute. However, personally I love the sound of my KEF (R3's) speakers and think KEF as a brand are the opposite of snake oil. Audio reviewers are a byzantine maze of grift but KEF overall measure (a loaded term in itsel

It is done! LSXII +KC92!

Also the ls60 they already have the proper amps to power all them tweeters and such. Good and bad thing. Having all that built in means possibly more problems in the future but can still be fixed but will have to pay kef to fix them. Double edged sword

Thoughts on LS60 vs R11?

I like KEF speakers, but I wouldn't touch the LS60 with a ten foot pole. KEF, for all their strengths, has an absolutely abysmal reputation with their active speakers. Do some searching on reddit, among other sources, for reviews from LS50 wireless and LSX I and II owners -- many, many problems with

Cracks observed on KEF LS60 speakers

So these cracks just showed up recently? I was planning on saving up for the LS60. Now that will depend on how KEF responds to you. I don't see any people saying they have cracks on their LS60 though. Did anyone go to your house while you were on vacation? I haven't seen a LS60 in person, but I own

LS60 Wireless - Discussion

Had the same issue here. Heard them in the hifi studio and they where fine then. When they arrived at my home, the secondary unit wasn't working. I first thought is was the room until I did L/R balancing. I wonder if that is a general issue with the KEF LS60?

Suggestions for speakers for music

KEF is a nice choice. The LS60 absolutely rocks. My only concern is that someday some electronic will stop working at you'll be stuck... I'd recommend instead: KEF R3 Meta EAC Review (2300 CHF) 22 inch Kanto SX22 stands (385 CHF) WiiM Ultra streamer and preamp ASR Review (330 CHF) Audiophonics AP300
