Kali In-5 Vs Neumann KH80
KH80 is smaller and more expensive, but tonally very balanced for the size. IN5 is closer in size to the much more expensive KH120, but is a three way. You will get more speaker with less cost (and less pedigree) with the Kali. If I was choosing, I'd get IN5. If you can, listen for yourself in perso

Bookshelf speakers
If it's for a battle station, then you're sitting in one place, so there's no need for 5.1. Surround sound was invented to compensate for different listening positions in movie theaters and couches. You can make all the same sounds with 2 well-aimed speakers for your 2 ears. If you're willing to go

Genelec 8030A vs Kali Audio in 5 for mixing in my average room
the best subs at the moment are the iLoud subwoofer since it has built in room correction, but if you just want a plain sub the Kali 6.2 is great. I personally ran the IN5's with the WS-12 but that was the only sub they had at the time, it was kinda overkill for how much space it took up. and curren

Desktop monitor recommendations

In which case, your best shot is a speaker/monitor with a coaxial driver, where the treble and midrange are emanating from a single point source. This gives you the best shot of the speaker response (both on-

The money drain
What's your budget on speakers? What sort of sound do you prefer? So you use for near field only or do you like to listen in the room as well? Do you have space for a sub woofer? I've been though a few speakers, started with Kalis lp8s, then went to kali IN8s, then IN5s with a sub (presonus sub10 I

Sanity check: should I buy the Kali Audio IN-5 monitors?
I own Kali LP-8s, and the IN-5s are absolutely in my future. I think it's a great buy for my situation - maybe for yours, too: Kali came to the market to compete with the big dogs, and punches above their weight. While they started on the affordable side, they've done well and are already making spe
