Editors, What kind of speakers are you using to mix audio with.

You can for sure get a pair of professionally-decent audio monitors for $300-$500 US. They won't be great and I wouldn't use them to finish audio for Netflix or whatever, but for most corporate work, YouTube, and lots of other stuff, there are a bunch of good options. Here's a slight edit of a post

Speaker Question / Looking for Sound Quality

Definitely get a sub with 80hz crossover. It will allow monitors to work on optimal frequencies. JBL LSR310S 10-inch is decent.

How do I get rid of a 30db null in my room?

Absolutely, made some experiments and putting a single speaker below the desk seems to be the way to go. There are still distortions all over the room, but the room is neither a studio, nor am I knowledgeable enough to fix them. At least the huge null is gone at ear level, much smaller and moved up

Speakers for techno / heavy bass - budget friendly

what JBL speakers do you have? Active monitors I assume? For good bass you will need a sub with 80 hz crossover. So it takes care of any frequency at and below 80hz, and monitors will take care of higher frequencies. This will add deep bass to your sound and more importantly open up your monitors wh

Monitors (around $1000) best for accurate mixing?

I feel that the majority of the issue is just in my ability to mix though Yeah, the speakers you have have enough clarity and detail to get most work done. So it's very likely a skill issue, which is perfectly normal. the main reason i want new monitors is that my current ones can sometimes make my

Looking for a pair of decent audio speakers to edit sound

I think you can get by with less-expensive audio monitors. Or you could get a pair of the JBLs mentioned below along with a decent matching JBL sub for about US$720, but personally I'd hold off on the sub. Here's what I wrote a month or so ago: ===== You can for sure get a pair of professionally-dec

I’m psyched on my little slice of recording studio heaven.

They are absolutely fantastic! I run them through a JBL LSR310s sub and let’s just say we have a good time.

Studio monitors for playing guitar (help me choose)

Jbl's are the best bang for your buck, especially second-hand. They are also great for untreated rooms. This waveguide thing is magic and stereo imaging is simply unbelievable. They also sound very consistent across the room. I love them so much that I got JBLs 305 with LSR310S sub in my home office

Best studio monitors for House & Techno?

For the longest time I had my DJ setup in an apartment and couldn't turn up the volume, so I only had the 5 inch monitors. Recently my circumstances have changed and moved my DJ setup to a place where I can turn up the volume. My overall goal was just to get a stronger punchier bass and fuller sound

Sub or bigger monitors

I think the 305s are good and "punch above their weight" as they say. So why not add the JBL sub that matches really well with the 305, the LSR310S? https://www.jbl.com/LSR310S-.html About $470 new, and I see that Sweetwater in the US has an open-box unit (floor model or return or something) for $42
