I have the JBL 1300X MK2 in an open concept house with 10 ft ceilings. I got it black Friday and it is absolutely amazing. This system is ridiculous, the base shakes my house and I haven't gotten close to max volume. Movie nights are so much fun. The dialogue is crystal clear and I love the detachab

I'd go with the JBL 1300 MK2. Because you have the option of using the two rear speakers as portable Bluetooth speakers, and each rear speaker has four channels.

If you’re going JBL, the new 1300mk2 is on sale for $1500 so only a couple hundred more than the original 1300x (being it’s also on sale). I would go that route being its newer and offers more. Between the 2, JBL has more grunt in the sound and is tuned lower so warmer and “bassier” sound. Samsung i

Good question. Having owned both, I’d say Samsung spreads more constant background sound through the rear speakers, while the JBL is more focused on the actual on-screen action and object placement. One important thing to keep in mind is that Samsung’s rears have no mid or low-frequency, whereas the

I’ve got the JBL Bar 1300 MK2 (Japan version) and honestly, I couldn’t agree more. I came from an old LG SK9Y and the jump in quality is massive. Even though the sub looks kinda small, it’s actually a dual 8-inch with 1200W RMS and you can definitely feel it. It fills the room easily and still keeps

I use my S95TR paired via wireless wowcast to my G4 and it honestly has been better than I expected. That said if you are going to spend money I wouldn't do it on the Samsung devices without auditioning some others. The samsung has shitty bass that is very mid focused and doesn't have that sub bass

As someone who tried the 990f and the JBL 1300x mk2 last week, I would go with the JBL. I found the sound more warm and rich, the subwoofer more impressive, and the easily detachable and moveable rears excellent. You can use a single button on the remote to toggle the subwoofer from entirely off up

The JBL bar 1300x mk2. It's an 11.1.4 channel soundbar system. It's loud and clear. 1570 peak watts of power. And one of the best parts of it. The rear speakers can be charged on the sides of the main bar by docking them in. And they are actually wireless. That's what the detachable rear speakers lo

I've been looking at the JBL bar 1300X mk2 as well. I have a 55 G4 paired with the S95Tr and while I would like more height from the rear channels it is a solid option as well for less money than you are looking at with either of these 2 systems. The only spot I have for my couch in my apartment is

Brief update: after a day with the q990f and the 1300x mk2, I’m keeping the JBL. Aside from the huge convenience of the detachable rears, it’s just better sounding - period.
