Roborock surprisingly didn’t do well in VacuumWars best vac/mop awards
In a more standardized test using lab-certified dust done by a German-based YouTube channel, Roborock's flagship has the weakest vacuuming power of embedded sand on carpet compared to Dreame, Roomba S9+, Dyson vis nav, and even Electrolux's first robot vacuum from the '90s. This is due to ineffectiv

is this a good find?
S9+ It came out in 2019 and is arguably the BEST roomba for straight cleaning performance especially carpet due to its large front rollers and non restrictive rear air exhaust. It still ranks on the top for robot vacuums based on cleaning performance especially on carpet It lacks obstacle avoidance

Favorite model in terms of power
The roomba s9+ is the most powerful roomba The 2nd most powerful is the 980. Because both have exhaust fans on the rear of the unit, not downwards and could be obstructed by carpet like the i and j models, the s9 and 980 can provide consistent extreme suction on carpets.

Amazon Claim: Frequently returned item
The P50 Pro Ultra was frequently returned at release because a lot of people received the unit with a broken front wheel, and the only course of action was to return it and re-order it. There was not a commercially available replacement wheel. I believe there now is a replacement that can be purchas

That's a comprehensive answer! But, spending time here for months and delving deeper into the robot vacuum world, there are strengths and weaknesses in each robot vacuum brand. Historically, Roborock and Dreame traced their roots back to Xiaomi's investment group, and both companies are designing pr

What is the best self emptying robot vacuum for pet owners?
It really depends on your specific needs and budget. If hair pickup + low maintenance are the priority, Roborock S8 Pro Ultra (or equivalent Roborock multi-dock models like Qrevo Plus) are solid options for pet hair and a very low-touch experience. If you want proven obstacle avoidance + broad suppo

Going from a J7+ to S9+
The S9 was so promising. I really wanted to love it. I had the dreaded Error 15, that robot was replaced under warranty and then we had a good run for 2-3 years. Then we got into Error 31 (stuck bumper)and after trying my best, I determined that it had soaked up enough of my time and energy and I wa

Flow 2 - 24 hour first impressions
Very surprised you had issues with the S9+! That robot is a beast with suction. I want to wait to run it on carpet until I’m home haha - there’s a coffee table on the rug and the flow 2 would always ram itself under and scratch the top up. The dust bin being so tiny is my only concern with carpet cl

Best quality-hair roomba (focused on pet hair)
For raw cleaning power for Roombas specifically, the best for pet hair and carpet will always be the Roomba s9+, followed by the vacuum only j9+. This is excluding the new Chinese manufacturerd roomba lineup. The s9 still clears the j9 too. It’s an older robot from 2019 with no pet waste avoidance,

Q5 Pro+ :Did I get a dud?
For carpets, the Dyson VisNav will be much better and after that is the iRobot roomba S9+ which has been reported to rip out carpet fibers but these robots have their own tradeoffs.
