is this a good find?

S9+ It came out in 2019 and is arguably the BEST roomba for straight cleaning performance especially carpet due to its large front rollers and non restrictive rear air exhaust. It still ranks on the top for robot vacuums based on cleaning performance especially on carpet It lacks obstacle avoidance

L50 Pro Ultra seems just like X50 besides a few differences—what’s the catch?

I’ve had the Dreame L50 Pro Ultra for about two weeks now, and I’m honestly super happy with it. I upgraded from a Roomba S9+, and the difference is night and day. I was really torn between the L40s Pro Ultra, the L50 Pro Ultra, and the X50 Ultra. My home is completely flat (no thresholds/steps), so

CarefulDrive Question

All of the below is speculation. Why it's not available on all front-camera-based models (i.e. j5, j6, j7 too): probably just a matter of feature segmentation, just like how the PrecisionVision obstacles detection is only enabled to detect "pet waste" and wires/cables on the j6 series (it won't avoi

Quick question, do u guys life in your households? Cause my roomba gets caught on everything

The 690 is like the bare bones with very old tech. When iRobot switched to the rubber beater bars that really helped with getting tangled in wires and the cleaning/tracking was much more efficient. The j series brought object detection which means it usually will go around said object. The newest se

Amazon Claim: Frequently returned item

The P50 Pro Ultra was frequently returned at release because a lot of people received the unit with a broken front wheel, and the only course of action was to return it and re-order it. There was not a commercially available replacement wheel. I believe there now is a replacement that can be purchas

Are the new Roombas better

Have upgraded from s9 to Max 705, and overall navigation is a massive improvement. Can’t stand the “recalibrating location to continue cleaning” that happens every time you start the bot using the buttons on bot - like, just start cleaning the area I placed you in already and figure out where you ar

Is a robot vacuum actually worth it or do you still end up manually vacuuming anyway?

I started with a mid-range robot and upgraded after a year because pet hair kept clogging it. I moved to a Roomba s9+ and it dropped my manual vacuuming from twice a week to maybe once every 10–14 days. It still won't do stairs, and I still pull out the stick for a couple tight corners and under one

Robot Vacuum Roomba Maker Files for Bankruptcy After 35 Years

Yep. My S9+ sometimes struggles with an almost empty room. And it likes to add phantom rooms onto the existing map. I recently got a mop/vac from mova and it’s much stronger suction than the Roomba. Similar in price to when I got the Roomba two years ago. And yeah, waaaay better performance, app fea

Going from a J7+ to S9+

S9 is an amazing bot, and remarkably still very much undefeated for the most part when it comes to actual cleaning performance. And to my knowledge, it’s the only robot vacuum that use HEPA filtering. That being said, there are two major complaints about the bot - the first of which is navigation. I

It finally died...

Got it and have used it once to vacuum and mop. First thoughts are that its 1000x better than the old Roomba s9+. It uses lidar to map the rooms, took 5 mins to do our whole first floor. Then about 1 hour to vac and another hour to mop. It seems to do a good job, it picked up all the dog fur for sur
