Roomba maker iRobot files for bankruptcy, sells itself to Chinese company

I just moved from Roomba (i7+) to Roborock (Qrevo CurvX) a couple weeks ago and still have two i7+'s running (or trying to run) on the other levels of my home. In almost every way, the Roborock makes the Roomba feel like it's a hundred years old. In other ways, likely related to stupid patents, the

Roomba maker iRobot files for bankruptcy, sells itself to Chinese company

Yeah, same for me. Traded in a Roomba that didn't clean very well (I believe it was an i7) for a Roborock QRevo. So many great things about it but also some really frustrating things (both the vacuum and the app) that, as you said, are most likely related to patent infringement fears. It's a frustra

Qrevo Edge S5A: worth it? opinions?

I have both a QRevo CurvX and a Qrevo Edge S5A so I think I’m pretty well qualified to advise! I don’t have experience with Dreame, however. I’m in the US and paid $859 for the CurvX (Black Friday) and $480 for the S5A (Christmas Sale fo $600 - $120 in Roborock points they were giving away like cand

Robot stops emptying when bag seems to still have a good amount of space?

Not at all. The emptying base does not have the ability to know if you have installed a new bag. It does not have a suction or filling sensor. It simply has a micro switch where you insert the cardboard part of the bag and it detects whether it is on or not. That is why the application cannot notify

Best robotic vacuum and mop for Indian households and your experiences

Been using roomba i7 for nearly 3 years now. Works well and does an excellent job in vacuuming. Needs filter replacement maybe once in 7-8 months. I don't recommend a robot mop. People in my family have it and it takes too long to mop and there isn't enough force on the mop head to remove sticky dir

Roomba VS malamute floof?

I have a Mova p10 Pro Ultra for our main level which is half flooring half carpet. Upstairs which is all carpet I have a Roomba I7. Both run everyday automatically right before we get home from work so that we get a couple of hours of CLEAR flooring each evening. During a blow I hand vacuum periodic

whats the Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair you've ever tried?

I have roomba i3 and i7, both with a docking station and 2 Golden’s retrievers. Once a week I remove and clean the ends of the rollers and vacuum the collection bin and filter for the fine layer of dust that forms. They do a good job on wall to wall carpet and laminate flooring with area rug.

What have you moved to?

I bought a used Roomba i7+ for 50 bucks. Cleaned the hell out of it, and replaced all wearable parts. No bullshit it's the best little vacuum I've owned. It does a great job of not getting stuck and it has a camera so it maps the house.

Dog owners with carpets, seriously, What is the best robot vacuum for a home with shag or high-pile rugs?

got a roomba i7+ and honestly, it’s been pretty solid on my high-pile rugs. like, it actually manages to pull out a good amount of hair, especially with the self-emptying feature. super convenient, but the downside is it can get stuck sometimes, especially if there’s anything like a toy or a shoe in

At this point what is the best robot vacuum for a busy family that hates cleaning? Feels like an allergy survival question

so i got the roomba i7+ a while back and honestly, it’s been a game changer for me. like, the self-emptying thing is great, but you still get that dust cloud when it dumps, ugh. but the suction is solid and it navigates around furniture like a pro. it’s also got a pretty decent app for scheduling an
