Kitchen and household appliances

Can’t speak to everything, but I buy those roombas for $15 at my local thrift whenever I find them. After cleaning, you can get a new battery for $20 (if it even needs it), new brushes (pack of 3 sets for $20), and a dock, if you don’t have it for $15. My robot army is up to three and the “robot bat

Roomba maker iRobot files for bankruptcy, sells itself to Chinese company

I just moved from Roomba (i7+) to Roborock (Qrevo CurvX) a couple weeks ago and still have two i7+'s running (or trying to run) on the other levels of my home. In almost every way, the Roborock makes the Roomba feel like it's a hundred years old. In other ways, likely related to stupid patents, the

Roomba maker iRobot files for bankruptcy, sells itself to Chinese company

Yeah, same for me. Traded in a Roomba that didn't clean very well (I believe it was an i7) for a Roborock QRevo. So many great things about it but also some really frustrating things (both the vacuum and the app) that, as you said, are most likely related to patent infringement fears. It's a frustra

Qrevo Edge S5A: worth it? opinions?

I have both a QRevo CurvX and a Qrevo Edge S5A so I think I’m pretty well qualified to advise! I don’t have experience with Dreame, however. I’m in the US and paid $859 for the CurvX (Black Friday) and $480 for the S5A (Christmas Sale fo $600 - $120 in Roborock points they were giving away like cand

Haarprobleme mit Roborock Saros Z70

I really like the Saros 20 with the split brush. Almost¹ no tangle at all and we're four long haired in the family (including the probably-siberian cat). I have the sonic variant. I was also interesting in the Z70 but after seeing the videos it didn't seem impressive enough and I didn't want to risk

Has anyone had long-term experience with Narwal?

Purchased a Narwal Freo Z Ultra in November of 2024, originally bought it through Costco (the white color - I've heard the grey/silver variation had more technical issues). Now I'm 2 weeks into owning the Flow 2. Previously I've owned the iRobot i7+ vacuum, the Braava 380t and Jet m6, and a Deebot b

Is a AutoEmpty Dock worth it?

I have both a Roomba i3 and i7 (US), both with auto-empty docks. I literally go for months without having to deal with either of them. Maybe I'll have to clear a clog or cut away a fiber tangle on the vacuum itself. But aside from that I just do regular maintenance like replacing the filter or empty

Robot vacuums for ADHD brains

I love it, I have a cat so litter goes everywhere and I don't have to personally vacuum it every single day. Maintenance is minimal and it tells me when it needs something. I have a Roomba i7, I think. I got the one that empties itself. I do keep my floors pretty tidy anyway because my cat loves to

Robot stops emptying when bag seems to still have a good amount of space?

Not at all. The emptying base does not have the ability to know if you have installed a new bag. It does not have a suction or filling sensor. It simply has a micro switch where you insert the cardboard part of the bag and it detects whether it is on or not. That is why the application cannot notify
